Make sense - that's probably what the TCU update that showed up on FDRS was for (dual phone).
I just got back from another week on the road and it looks like the 2.8.1 update has timed out. I stopped getting notices of it failing to load a couple of days ago (after over a week of attempts). I had tried using a 10amp battery charger while at home, but could not do that over the past week while traveling. My truck is still showing 2.7.4 as the last update. I guess I will have to wait until the 2.8.1 campaign rolls around again....
A question about the charging system on these trucks.... I have a cigar lighter plug-in that has two DC outlets plus two USB plugs on it. It also has a DC voltage digital readout on it. I have used this in several vehicles (and my airplane) and have found the volt meter to be reasonably close. In the truck it often is showing north of 15 volts charge rate. I have never seen a voltage that high in other vehicles, and concerned that might be too high a charge rate for the battery. In other vehicles I normally see under 14.5 volts. I have not verified these voltages with my trusty Fluke VOM yet.

I'm fairly convinced part of my truck's problem was low battery voltage over the winter when I don't drive it much. The voltage dropped, and I fell behind on OTAs. I also think Ford has made some recent improvements that are helping a lot.
I'm going to do a better job of keeping my truck on a charger this winter.

Once you are on the charger, also do a battery module reset.

Nice incognito flex with the airplane, btw. lol
I just came back from my local dealership. I had two open recalls fixed and asked them to look into OTA update status for me. I asked about the status of my updates because when I purchased my truck (purchased a used 2021 just over a month ago), the auto-update feature was turned off, with no way to toggle it on. Fortunately, @Jesse - Infotainment was kind enough to download and send me files to load via USB, which corrected the "stuck" update, as now my auto-update is turned on.
So, now the dealer is telling me I'm all "up-to-date" even though I still can not access my two rear cameras (bed and tailgate) while driving, which I thought was part of an OTA update that had been released some time ago. How can I be up-to-date if I'm missing features which should be available on my truck?
Is there any way for a truck owner to check what updates have/have not been applied to their vehicle?

Mine seems to be stuck and hasn't downloaded the next update. I think it is 2.8.1. Can someone please check for me? 1FTFW1E83MFA09338. Thank you so much.

I have been trying to do an update since June. Dealer told me the APIM locked them out and they had to get a new one. Waiting for that part to come in since July. It finally showed up and I took the truck in to get replaced and got a new service tech and he said he was able to do it without the new APIM module so they didn't replace it but I don't know what he did because nothing changed. Can someone look up my truck and see what version I am running and get a list of all the items that need to be updated? 2021 Lariat 3.5 v6 6.5 bed.
