I went to 2.1.1 yesterday. The steering wheel buttons no longer cycle through the presets correctly. It seems to only cycle within the source (Xm, FM, etc.).

Hard to say, but maybe your update slot was in the OTA update queue for so long that it reached the maximum number of retries and eventually expired it and removed it from the list. That is just a guess, but seems plausible. Good luck with getting it going. Do you have a good, stable internet connection? I found I was having issues (the " i " in the WiFi strength icon) and it finally hooked up and started the 1.7.1 update after leaving the truck on for ~30 minutes (that was the full download time for ~3GB on my internet connection).

That happened to me on the Sync update to 21146-145that came at the same time as 1.7.1 last weekend. Also lost all of my saved Nav entries too.

@tboo72 thanks for the link to the widget. I got it installed. If I am reading the output correctly, I have 2.1.0 installed but have never gotten notification that it was updated. I got notification of 1.6 in Sept and 1.7.1 last Saturday.

‘’I contacted the service advisor at the dealer I bought the truck from. He suggested trying a master reset to see if the SSR would resolve itself, but sadly it did not. I am wondering if the differing order of OTAs being applied to our vehicles might be unknowingly down grading certain modules and causing some of these issues. I may take it in to see if they might reflash 2.1.0 and see if they changes anything. Too bad they are a few weeks behind…

I have the common towing module dtc that is hidden in the background. Could that be an issue too? There is no check lights or other codes.
Second call today to the software dept at ford. I cleared the DTC for the trailer module thing, but still no ability to update. The website and the app both say that the update is waiting for me to hit the button in the truct to update, but the truck still won't let me turn on auto update and when I try to do the check for new updates it tells me I am all up to date. A trip to the dealer is coming, but not until 2 weeks.

So sometime in September the truck updated and my Wireless Apple Carplay stopped working, but it would work if the phone was plugged in. The truck just updated to 2.1.1 a couple days ago and now my Apple Carplay does not work at all, wirelessly or plugged in. Anyone else run into this issue?

Default New APIM for me!

Well, in a few weeks anyway.

Feels like winning the rotable lottery. I wonder who's RMA'd repair unit I'm gonna get!

it's great when you get the problem to replicate right in front of the best tech in the shop. Even better when the DTC list in the modules is exquisitely extensive
