Would be cool if someone more computer savvy than me could set up a firmware tracker like this guy did for Teslas. Can give you an idea if certain models or VINs are getting different versions sooner.
Just saw another update... went from Power_Up 1.6.0 to 1.4.0 wtf is up with that?
They aren’t sequential and apparently target different components in the truck. Since Ford provides no helpful details at all in the communications it just confuses customers more. Really sad they can’t communicate basics to customers.

Have any of you tried to communicate said frustration about Fords updating and updating communications processes back through official channels, or through your private contacts. They are for sure creating tons of customer dissatisfaction by executing and communicating so poorly on software updates, particularly when they marketed this stuff as a major feature of our new trucks. I suspect the execs in charge don't know how messed up they are - becoming a software / Internet company when you have been a hardware company for 100 years is hard - lots and lots of process and culture changes that won't happen without leadership.
My truck downloaded 6.8gb on my WiFi between Nov 17th and 18th but no update yet. Every now and again the update button is greyed out in Sync and it shows no info under the about screen as far as version goes. Sometimes it's completly normal. Always says it's up to date and that's it. Hopefully this one will install soon! I keep hoping! If anyone is still looking them up in the system still it's a 501a VIN is 1FTFW1EDXMFB13466

My truck (2021 Lariat Powerboost, June-ish build) just received the 1.6.0 update. While there's no details about the update, the truck *seems* to shift better.
I'd be curious what you get when you put my vin in, as I haven't been able to use my onboard wifi hotspot since the vehicle drove off the lot and the trial expired. It simply will not connect to Bell mobility's cell service (only cell provider option we have to use it up here in Canada) here is my vin, give it a shot and let me know what you find. (btw this issue is now in Ford Canada's hands through the dealership as I got pissed off dealing with Bell and getting nowhere. My Vin# : 1FTFW1E81MFB83361

Not what you asked for, but if any of those issues seem familiar to you, I am sad to say you may want to schedule a dealer visit at some point.
