Pretty sure it's going to be bad news. Wife's truck, owned for a year, she's been complaining of CarPlay bugs. I figured I could maybe update Sync, and fell down this giant rabbit hole I have the blank version and revision, and the disabled automatic updates. I don't think I ever did the master reset when we bought it, and it wasn't hooked up to home wifi - I did both of those tonight.
Not sure if I'll be getting on my laptop tonight. If I don't, I'll check it tomorrow. If the truck is a 2021, based on what you're telling me, then yes..... it's stuck on the old broken software.

Confirmed that this truck is on Sync 20301 with no connectivity. It can be fixed, but you need a Mongoose cable, FDRS and some patience.

Good day rugedraw, you were of great help to me a year and much appreciated, but encountering problems again with Sync, for I cannot start my truck remotely. To refresh your memory, I did indeed receive a new module from Ford in Dec 2023 thanks to your help. But my last update was June of this year (2024) and now having problems with the remote starting from my mobile device. Can you check to see what is going on if you don't mind.

If you're in Canada, your modem seems to be provisioned properly for your country, but there does seem to be some connectivity issues because your truck has not reported itself to the server in quite a bit. The first thing I would do if you have FORScan is pull all the codes your truck is reporting and post them and then reboot the GWM and TCU. If you don't have FORScan, then I would pull the negative cable from the battery for 20 minutes, reconnect it and start the truck and let it run for 5 minutes. Lmk when you do that so I can check it again and see if it reports itself.

Thanks rugedraw. I am indeed in Canada, and I don't have FORScan. So I just rebooted the electrical system as per your instructions.

Some other info to help you diagnose my problem...
- SYNC is working for the most part
- CarPlay periodically did not work at times
- Wifi is set to ON, and I can my home network connection in the truck
- UPDATES is ON and scheduled
- my mobile device is connected to the truck
- mobile device can activate power door locks all the time, but truck 'start' only half the time

Please let me know what you now see, and thanks again for all your help! Regards, Murray

Ok, it works. Your truck reported itself and everything seems fine. No codes being reported to be of concern and connectivity is working fine now. OTA history does not show any updates have been sent in the past 60 days which is as far back as it records this data. Your Sync version is pretty old at 21233, but you do show an APIM update pending, so everything looks fine in that regard. These older updates you need are pushed out very rarely, so it'll be a while before you're caught up.

Yea, everything looks fine. Truck is talking to the cloud. Your truck being a 2024 was built with most of the updates 21-23 truck may be missing. You do not show a lot of pending updates.
