Dealer has had the truck for 2 months with no fix.
They seem to be clueless as to what to do with your truck. It seems they installed a new APIM, ran the PMI on it, but even after doing that, it will not take any updates. My concern is that your truck has been sitting there for a month and they have barely touched it. I assume they are waiting for help from Ford Engineering. What a clusterf*ck. From what I can see, I can't really be of help. Even if I knew exactly what was wrong and told you, they wouldn't listen anyway. By replacing the APIM and doing the PMI, that SHOULD have gotten your truck unstuck from OTA limbo, but something in not right. Your Sync version is blank in PTS and they were not able to update the APIM software after many attempts. The last time a technician put his hands on your truck was exactly one month ago. On June 27th, someone pulled a entered a repair validation code stating the APIM will not program. They are struggling trying to figure out what is wrong with your truck.
And you won't be getting any updates, either. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck is on Sync 20301 which is bad software from 2020 known to break the OTA process. Without dealer intervention, you will never see an update. Schedule an appt with your dealer and tell them your truck has not gotten an OTA in over two years. They need to manually update your APIM using Ford TSB 22-2404. Chances are, they will not be able to do it and just order you a new one. They are on backorder, so expect to go pick up your truck and take it back when they receive the new APIM. Once they get your truck out of its current state, you will be able to start receiving updates again.
