Have I checked you VIN before to confirm that is the issue in your case?

Unfortunately, I lost my access to see all these things last week. However, you can check this yourself. If you have a 2021 and auto-updates is grayed out, go to your "about sync" page in your touchscreen menu. If your truck says your Sync is 20262, 20301 or 20312 (or is blank), then you are affected by the bad software issue that plagued a lot of job 1 2021 F150's.

No luck with sync 21146 either. That's where I'm stuck.

In that case, the dealer will have to manually update the APIM (which will most likely not work) or diagnose it as faulty and replace it with a new one. Otherwise, you have zero chances of getting any updates sent to you.

Hello, Can you help me out with my truck? -it's past the warranty and the dealership is advising me to pay $300+ in labor to get it updated because my truck is in OTA purgatory. Can you show me a screenshot of when my truck was last updated. Thanks

You can go into your settings screen and hit SYNC and it will show YOU what your last update was-you don't need anyone's help for that.
If your truck is running fine, do you really want updates? If you really think you need a specific update, just buy the license and do the updates yourself for about 100 less than the dealer is quoting you.

Your truck has never been updated and will never get an update unless it is taken out of OTA purgatory. You're on Sync 20301 which is the known bad broken software. Your truck is being sent the update it needs, but it is not going through and this will continue to happen unless the dealer manually updates it (if they can) or if the APIM is swapped. If they are willing to try to fix it for $300, that is a bargain. I doubt they will be able to do it. If you have a good relationship with them, I would take a 32GB USB drive with me to the appointment. Tell the service advisor to give it to the tech and when FDRS downloads the files for the APIM update, tell him to put them on your USB drive and to just leave it in the truck. It may take days, weeks or even over a month with you driving the truck before the update will kick off and start, but eventually it will. That is your best best to fix your issue, but the dealership would have to be willing to listen. Get the service manager involved if you have to, and be nice.....you catch more flies with honey than with sh*t.

@rugedraw was wondering if you could look up a VIN for me also: 1FTEW1EP0MFA59794

Pretty sure it's going to be bad news. Wife's truck, owned for a year, she's been complaining of CarPlay bugs. I figured I could maybe update Sync, and fell down this giant rabbit hole I have the blank version and revision, and the disabled automatic updates. I don't think I ever did the master reset when we bought it, and it wasn't hooked up to home wifi - I did both of those tonight.
