Also as a side note, does anyone know if you should put loctite on the lower coilover bolts? These new ones are different than stock in that they thread from below and dont use a nut on top. It seems like that plus vibration would make it easier for them to come undone.
You won't go wrong putting some blue thread locker on them, i'd say do it.
Good stuff! Still waiting on my 5100 fronts. Next week will be 60 days since I ordered! Hoping they come in the next 2 weeks. New wheels and tires are sitting in the garage
When did you place your order and receive the kit?
Read alot over the years on here. Just sharing my latest buy and build. King Ranch with 2" Rough Country level, Fuel 18" wheels and Nitto Terra Grapplers (285/65). Very happy with the look and it's what I did on my last truck. Trying to decide if I'm done. If I need calibrator or anything to adjust for power and shift points. Got the big Ecoboost and 3.55 gears - if anyone has similar experience. Or I just leave it. Cheers
2016 F150 XLT 4x4 5.0 leveled with Bilstein struts at 2.1 setting. Rear is Bilstein shocks on stock block. Just went from P275/65r18 to LT285/75r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. NO rubbing anywhere, even in reverse at full lock. Loving the new look and can't wait for the new SCT tuner to get here today so I can re-program the tire size.
Everything stock. P275/65r18 with stock suspension. P275/65r18 stock tires with Bilstein struts at 2.1. Stock rear block. LT285/75r18 with Bilsteins at 2.1. stock rear block.
After driving around several days it turns out I do have some rubbing going on when in reverse, and steering wheel turned fully to left. Not sure why, but so far I haven't gotten any rub when backing with full right steering turn. Removed the front mud flaps and wasn't able to reproduce the rubbing on my driveway curb like I did before removing the flaps. Will drive it for a couple days to make sure the rubbing is gone.
If that's the case, hoping I can trim and keep the flap. It's the Weathertech no drill flaps, just in case anyone has already been through this exercise.
