You can put a level(as in the tool) on the bed side/rail and the bed will be level(on most trucks with just a front end level) and measure the same fender gap front to back, but based on the design of the hood, cab/body, these trucks still tend to look nose high.
You need a very slight rake to make it look "level".
I have looked at alot of 15-19 F150s, stock, leveled, lifted, and with so many shock, coilover, and blocks to chose from, it's hard to find 2 trucks that appear to sit the same.
Alot of it appears to be an optical illusion. Look how there is more gap between the front tire and bumper, vs behind the front tire to the fender, also giving a nose high look.
Depending on tire size and those gaps can also change how level the truck looks.
The difference in those gaps made me overlook alot of used trucks when I first started seriously shopping them, because I thought it was poorly repaired crash damage.
My '19 is stock height, looks good from one angle, but like a 2wd jacked up in the back from others.
Go figure.

I did manage to find them with free shipping NEW for 1600, just hope i don't regret it later....

Also pulled trigger on rears as well, went with FOX 985-24-029

Picked up the rears for 110 with free shipping...

Combined that is $500 cheaper than FOX's listed pricing on their website.
Cool, looking forward to seeing what you end up with(ride height), and if you go with a taller rear block.
From what I read, you can compress Fox coils on the truck and adjust the preload/ ride height.
Which will help you dial in the ride quality and height.
They are what I plan to buy.

Thanks, should be here by the 8th, hope to have them installed by the 10th. will post before and after pics.

Still unsure about tires, was looking at the raptor wheels, but think I'd get better mileage on the 5.0 with the 20's instead of 17's. may end up just going taller tire and use spacers to push out a little. Still have maybe 10k more on my tires so will keep them for now and use the time to decide.

Tire weight is what you want to check if mpg is a concern.

Nice buy. It will be worth it in the end! You will have a great set up.

2019 F150 XL STX 2WD 2.7L
OEM Michelin LTX M/S2 275/55/20 on 20" wheels

Motofab 2" leveling spacer up front
KSP 2" blocks in the back

Ended up with just under 1.5" of rake. Looks great wish I could throw some 34" tires on it but the truck is brand new and we have a baby on the way. Gonna have wear down the stock tires first. Wife's orders haha.

I will say the back looks a little too high and has the same factory rake (no rear block since it was a 2WD).

Wish I could post pics but its dark here and my camera took a ****, try to get it uploaded this weekend.

EDIT: after a day of settling the height in front lowered 1/2"

Robain,

Personally I think your OEM whels look much better IMO. Are they 18" or 20?" Not trolling you..............

So I just got a quote and I am very happy with it... as soon as I got home I measured the truck. 24.5” mid hub to the fender in the back and 22” even on the front... so my question is...

rough country 2” billet strut leveling kit or Motofab 2.5”... price is close enough it doesn’t matter. Will the rc be .5” short and will it be noticeable? Will the Motofab make the front too high?

i will be keep stock tires for now then maybe in the future going up to 33” but that is undecided yet

any advice?

I've had the same questions with a 1.5" vs. a 2" level and asked here and the installer. Everyone has suggested the 2" level which will leave a slight front rake which is what I want. And it puts less straIn on front-end parts. My OEM rake right now is at 2 3/4." I also asked my installer and they use the RC billet by default and have said exactly what the consensus is: 2" level leaving about a 1/2" to 3/4" rake and hardly noticeable. You'll need an front-end and headlight alignment when you're done..
