Still on my test drive, stopped to get a bite to eat.
Now the button activated camera switch does not work. If I press the button the screen flashes displaying front camera and jumps right back to the screen currently being displayed. A few times I was able to hit the screen before it went out but trying to touch the directional buttons makes it go back to what is on the screen. I thought maybe it had something to do with the 9999 trick but that didn't work.If I slow down the front camera still comes on if I use the turn signals the camera comes on just not using the button.

Check the system config and make sure the cameras are not set to be dependent upon speed. Every time I unplugged, I had to reconfigure.

Just so you guys know I don't think Rostra has anything to do with your issues.

I get the black screen and unresponsive display quite frequently and I don't have Rostra or anything else installed other than the carplay USB hub.

Required on 2016 models to allow Apple CarPlay to work - See this monster thread - https://www.f150forum.com/f118/sync-...update-341665/

thanks. I also looked it up. Not a factor with me as I tend to avoid Apple products.

I am glad I came across this thread. I bought a 2017 platinum super duty and I would really like to add the oem 360 camera. I have the same dilemma and I only need the 2 mirror cameras and the front. I have the tailgate cam and camera in the back of the cab looking into the bed. You guys seem to have all of this figured out and since these cabs are pretty much the same thing I thought I would ask here. I have the same build package as the trucks that have the 360 camera. But do I have the wires to make this work? Are the wires in the main harness or are they separate? I took a few pictures of the back of the screen and maybe the ipbm... any help here would be great because the super duty guys don't know much about this option because it's new to 2017 for these trucks.
