I've got a separate issue with this Rostra kit that I wanted to see if anyone else was having. I have Sync 2.0 and am on the original firmware. I haven't upgraded the firmware yet since it seems like there are still a few bugs that need to be worked out.

I've been noticing that every time I start the truck, the front camera trigger button does not initially work. The side cameras activate normally with the turn signals, and both the front and the side cameras can be manually selected on the camera app screen but pushing the trigger button does nothing. Several minutes after starting though, the front camera button starts working again. I don't think this is a wiring issue because once it starts working, it remains working and activates the front camera every time its pressed for the rest of the trip. I've starting timing it to see if there is a pattern...today it took 9 minutes until the trigger button worked and then it was good to go. Anyone else have this happen?

Yes. I am at v.2.2 code on my Sync 3. I believe you said you were at v.2.0.

Engineer said to go back to the previous firmware. I sent you a PM with a link to the older code. He has pulled your current level of code from the download site.

I assume that with the Rostra solution, the screen that is lost or freezes is the stock 8" screen (built in screen)?

Yep, 8".

Got the old/original software installed, gonna test it this morning.

I forgot to mention that my problems happen with or without the iPhone plugged into the factory USB...Not sure if this Tid-Bit matters to Rostra/Camera Source.

Same story here. I actually was installing some more cameras last night and had the screen on testing for a while. The next time I tried to start the truck, the screen went black and stayed that way for 5 or 6 starts. The only thing that finally allowed it to start was waiting about 1 hour. I am not sure what is going on, but this did this on both firmware versions I had. Restoring back to a previous version does not seem like a fix.

thanks for the info. I will keep posting info as I receive it. In all transparency, Rostra said they expect two weeks to have a solution.
