Mine is definitely worse after the update. It seems to be stopping the source change to happen at times as well. What a mess!!

 

I contacted Rostra yesterday to let them know what was going on. I recommend you do the same so they can have another data point.

 

Last night my screen worked (Still no cameras though) when I parked and restarted...BLACK AGAIN!!!!!!!

 

Wow. I'm really bummed for you Sync 3 guys. I'm really glad I had Sync 2 when I installed mine. I don't think my patience would have held out this long with this issue.

 

I have so many other mods going on, it keeps me from focusing all my attention on how frustrated I am with this camera problem...I get in my truck and just drive W/O a screen and try to pretend it doesn't bother me...

I'm getting closer to just giving up on the camera thing.

 

They have my data. They also have my phone number.

 

Good news! They just sent me an update file to try out that fixes compatibility issues with push to start vehicles. I will try it on my truck tonight and then update tomorrow with my findings. I am hopeful this fixes my issues since I kept thinking that the push to start trucks act differently in boot-up for the sync system. I emailed my thoughts to them and this is the result. I have to say that Rostra has been fairly vigilant in response to try to get these issues fixed. I have not given up hope yet!

Update: the new update seems to work. (crosses fingers) I tried the myriad of ways that usually resulted in a black screen and they all came back with the screen showing up. I am hesitant to say it is fixed yet...but so far so good. I was testing in my garage last night until 1 in the morning just to see if I could break it. If anyone wants the update, you probably will need to reach out to your distributor, but it is available...and works...well so far.

 

Yesterday my Black Screen did not appear for around a dozen stops (Had a lot of errands)...


Then this morning-->BACK-N-BLACK!!!!
