It can be easy to confuse our interface solutions with Lockpick device. Any part number that ends in -SYNC or -MYT is a Lockpick and will not work with SYNC 3. You must use one of our custom interface solutions to gain access to multi-cam support on your SYNC 3 device. All the products are updated on are on the site here:
Sorry for the confusion just want to make sure you are all clear on the two different solutions. Lockpick is only good up to the MyFord Touch model, SYNC 3 must use our interface as Lockpick is not compatible.
Thanks again!

Hi,
My setup is the following; F150/2016/Lariat/Sync3 with 8" display. I already have a grill that can accept an OEM front camera. I already have the OEM rear backup camera.
I'm interested in adding the front and side camera.
I would like to acquire the necessary hardware for the project.
But I would probably not install the side camera for a while. At first I would only setup the front camera. Is there a way to disable the auto switching side camera with the turn signal/flasher ? I would not want a blank screen everytime I turn left or right until I setup the side cameras.
Is there any setting that can be adjusted to compensate for the installed orientation of the side cameras ? For example, the side can could be mounted upside down underneath the mirror or they could possibly be mounted on the side of the truck (like to OEM tow mirror cameras), but depending on the install, the picture maybe need to be flip or reverse of both...
As for the backup rear camera, you mention that your system enables the use of the OEM (already installed) camera, how does this work ? Is there an option somewhere that we can >toggle< to have the system display the OEM backup camera or use the dedicated "rear backup camera" input on your module ?
That would be nice because when I don't tow any trailer hookup to my truck, I could configure the module to display the OEM backup camera and when I hookup my trailer, I could setup another camera behind the trailer and route it to the dedicated backup camera input into your module to have it display on the screen...
Is it possible to use another button that the radio power button to activate the camera and switch between them ? For exemple can I use an external momentary button (I would like to use the OEM 360 camera button, may have to cut some wires...)
Do you have any info or PDF document that list the module features, setup and available options ?
And I must say, it look promising... Looking forward to some YouTube video showing the system working and demoing on some Sync3 F150.
Im going to look at the feasibility of crafting some sort of "hanger" similar to the SD camera example. What size is the hole that needs to be drilled to hold the camera? I assume the camera body wants to be horizontal for best view? How thick does the stock have to be to grip the camera, or is it just a bolt on the back of the camera body? Perhaps a piece of plastic or aluminum stock CA-glued or hot-glued to the back of the grill (behind the medallion?) and extending down just beneath the emblem will do the trick? Camera can't weigh much and a good clean glue joint should last years.
I believe the hole that needs to be drilled is 3/8". You're welcome to order a camera to take a look at some options. If it's not going to work then send it back and we'll refund you. If it will work give a call and we can set you up with the required interface module at the bundle price to complete the kit. Here's the camera by itself:

(That would be a nice Christmas gift)
There are dip switches on the interface module that tell the unit whether or not you have side cameras, front camera, factory rear, or aftermarket rear camera. Just put the switches in your desired config and it will disable anything that is not used.
Unfortunately the use of the 360 dash button is not an option with the 8" display. All the camera functions are controlled through the CAN bus and the engineer chose the radio power button to control it since everyone has one.
The side camera has a 360 degree rotatable head that swivels in the mounting socket so you can aim it wherever you want. I think it could work if you mounted it on the fender looking back but I haven't heard of anyone doing that with our camera so I can't tell you for sure. I will have one of the guys test it on Friday to see how the view looks and report back to you.
You cannot do two rear view cameras. The interface is designed with one rear camera input channel and since you have a factory rear camera it will use that channel. In other words, it simply passes through your factory rear camera into this input channel making it unavailable to a different camera. You could use the front port for the second rear but it would need to be manually activated each time.
Unfortunately the instructions are not online but if you contact us through the website someone can get you a copy before you purchase.
Yes, I am beta testing their rig and will post the instructions along with videos. If y'all order it, hang on a couple of days (next weekend) once I do this and post instructions.
I'm stoked, this looks to work very well and super excited at the price. I only wish we could have controlled it with the 360 button, but I understand their rationale.
I like the logic behind it more than how lockpick did things.

Having to turn the radio on and off to display the camera is a downside...

Gonna order tomorrow...Looks very promising, please keep this thread UPD8ED-->
Dumb question perhaps, but how do I know if I have a grill that is compatible with the OEM front camera? I have a 2016 Lariat 501 with just the rear camera right now. I'm definitely interested in adding the front and sides.
