Update: I put most of the board together last Friday to test. I found out I used the 5x5 QFPN package size instead of the 4x4 for the CAN controller and I oversized the micro by one size also. I already fixed the first in the design and I'm planning to fix the second tonight. I can test the on-off functionality with what I have right now, but I'd have to get another set of boards done to test the full micro functionality and the CAN comms. I could order the mass quantity now, but I'd prefer not to take the chance the schematics are right and the two wrong-sized packages are wrong. I can't think of the last time I've been successful doing things that way personally or professionally. I'll see what my options are and let everybody know when I pick my next step.
I would love to ask if there is anything we can do to help? i myself am a computer integration specialist, i don't normally design electronic components but i do read diagrams and can trouble shoot things, i have a face-plate already so if you need a second set of eyes on stuff id be glad to work with you.

i have been very happy to find that the typical modern mentality of people only being out for themselves is not present here, you guys all have fun and help each other whenever possible, so if i can support that and help your process with my skills in any way i am happy to do so, just let me know

I'll throw my hat in here as well. I'm in IT, and have a general understanding. I also have a bezel (2 actually) and would be willing to help if needed. Just let us know!

No I, they skip that, next is J

I might as well tag along with this and offer to help - I’ve got an EE degree and currently work with data centers, but I have done a bit of work with microcontrollers and PCBs in the not so distant past. More than happy to brush up on some things and lend a hand if needed.

LOL, had a panel, realized it did not have CD slot.... sold it picked up another cheap but did not work in my truck, but did in a friends, so sold it and now waiting on the next.... I was hoping to get one working while I wait and see if I will be one of the lucky ones where the heated seats just simply work (wont hold my breath though)

So I got my FCIM installed and no luck with heated seats working. After reading a little more it looks like if one were to replace the seat heater control module with a heated and cooled seat control module from lariat then the heated seats will work with the lariat FCIM.

Has anyone attempted this yet? looks like one per heated seat would be needed. part number is:XXXX-14C724-A. looks like the first 4 (or what i have xxxx on) designate model it is for, but many are interchangeable you would just need to make sure it is module for heated and cooled.

I am thinking on getting one to try, if works will get 2nd for other seat, that is if I don't just find a set of lariat or plat heated and cooled seats ( I really want my cooled seats back!)
The seat heater control modules from vehicles we are using FCIM's from control both heated and cooled seats. so would make sense the handshake (for lack of better term) would be different between the SHCM from and XLT and the FCIM from a Lariat and up. one has heat only, other is heat and cool.

Also beyond adding the missing sensors, or just swapping out the entire dash, has anyone been able to get rid of DTC's present with the Lariat FCIM installed? the ones complaining about sensors we do nor have?

Only thing I miss is the auto climate control. Sad thing is I had it in my 99 and it's still not standard. But I would rather have my heated seats than a heater at all. Things will heat you up big time

I have seat modules on order to test this out but looks like upgraded FCIM will work with heated seats provided you replace your seat module also with one that controls "heated and cooled" seats.
