From: Cayman Islands....I live where you vacation
Congrats to all that got your trucks. I'm so jealous. For us Lariat Sport guys, we have to wait until production starts on January 4th.....gonna be a long holiday season. Not that that's really bad I guess.
My original delivery date of 11/19 came and went. The truck didn't even get released to ship until 11/17 but has had no update per Chad as of yesterday. My dealer emailed and said the truck has left and is on its way. This afternoon was the first update in a few weeks. The new delivery date is 11/30 or sooner, he said. Fingers crossed, going to be a long weekend.
It is pretty discouraging that all these trucks were held for parts and no updates. But at least you got a real update Shawn. Then when parts came in, they started using most/all of them on the new trucks coming down the line rather than complete the ones that were waiting on parts. Ridiculous. Happy for the guys on here that have your new trucks already, don't get me wrong, but disappointed for the rest of us.

Whenever I try to enter VIN on COTUS it can't find, Please help
Now the other topic I would like to talk about is the 26K plus trucks with "issues" I think the assembly line is spitting out good trucks I can't believe there are all these trucks coming off the line and going to graveyard for parts to be installed whenever, I would think the number would just get worse. So here is what I think a great resolution would be, we are only really dealing with the number of trucks that are special ordered and if Ford would do the right thing and put parts or fix those trucks first then we would stop bitchin at them. The dealers can wait for inventory, we can not. The other option is and what I'm checking on with my dealer and Rep is to just order another one, at least you should now see it built and shipped instead of put in the graveyard.

I also heard from an internal source that there was a certain "part" unavailable so they put on another "different part" so as to move it down the line and put the vehicle in hold. What's sad is when this part started to become available Ford put it on the vehicles that favored them the most. The ones currently on the assembly line. So the latter builds got sent out and the earlier ones had to wait until enough of these parts came in to surpass the assembly line needs. Not too happy with Ford.
Movement!
Received word today from Customer Service that the truck has finally updated to "in transit". New ETA is 12/11 (5+ weeks after original of 11/4). They indicated they are still trying to find out what caused the delay but no word yet. Amazes me they can't find out and Ford can't be a little more upfront with customers. Hope the December incentives are good. Already had X-plan as a stockholder.

That's what I'm worried about. Since they aren't giving any sort of status updates on our trucks, we have no idea how long this could be. Dealers always say "soon"; but they seem to completely clueless as well. It may end up being March for us.... we have no way of knowing. Uhhhhhhgggg
I wanted to thank you all for your patience with these orders. To say the wait is tough must be the understatement of the year, but I wanted you to know I'm pleased to provide you all with regular updates at your request.
I understand there hasn't been much updating for many of those who have trucks that have yet to leave the plant, and I also understand there's been some concerns with COTUS recently. Please know I'm here as a resource, and I'll happily answer your requests for assistance.

Well, I have been painstakingly finding trucks that closely match what I ordered at nearby dealerships. I've sent some emails regarding whether they are in stock or not. Basically, the first dealer to respond with an equal or lower price with a truck in stock will get my money.
I have been specifically searching for Platinum Supercrew 4x4s. Some of their websites still list them as dealer ordered (no surprise here). The ones that don't still don't have actual pictures of the specific truck yet (so possibly also not in stock yet).
If they aren't in stock yet, the first one to get delivered will get hunted down by me.
I should be able to get my $500 check back from the original dealer I ordered from, correct? I never signed anything, and it was sort of a "good faith" check.
