I second that. I think most customers completely understand production delays and the complexities of running a just in time parts system for building complicated trucks. They know that one or more of the many suppliers can have issues with QA, delivery etc... However, what I find inexcusable is the lack of communication and mis-information or out right lies. Nearly 10 years ago we were able to track my wife's BMW through every step in production right to delivery. When there was a delay it was noted. The fact that Ford either can't or won't do this with today's technology is simply mind boggling. It conjures up images of monkeys and footballs.

 

Thanks, but that wasn't my point. My point is by waiting 4-6 weeks after Ford begins building the new model year before ordering, most of the issues have been resolved without causing a delay on my truck.

 

This is my first early model year build. I guess I am paying for it........I was a little worried about this, but thought it was just rumors that you need to wait latter in the model year for them to work the kinks out. I guess I was wrong.

... everyone is clamoring for the same thing and by policy (according to Ford CS) that information is just never going to come "officially" from Ford. "Dearborn WILL not release any further information on the status of why you truck is being held." I followed up to be clear and asked you're not saying the information is unknown, you're saying they are not willing to release it to me as a customer and was told, "They will not do that."

Everyone who is in the "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego (because she made off with my truck) Club" would like more information from an official source as to what is going on and when we can reasonably expect to see our trucks, but it just isn't going to happen.

I'm just hoping that a month from now we're not still sitting here having this same conversation.

ETA: 11/26 (Thanksgiving Day) via Rail, delivering to Seattle area
Built: 11/9 (Dearborn)
Date dealer placed order w/Factory: ???
Placed order @ Dealer: 9/25

 

All I can say is I swear to God they are lucky I don't live there or I would be standing outside with a sign saying where's my truck and WTF is going on

 

Mine was delivered Friday...trying to set something up to pick it up Thursday or Friday this week!!! Booya!!

 

And you ordered a month after myself and the rest of our sad 10/26 club..... fml

Love how the 10/26 club is now taking over Ford Service on FB... MUAAHAH. No updates as of tonight.. only "still on hold in Dearborn". And here I was hoping for Turkey Day. At least my tonneau cover arrived on time today. SMDH.
