My original delivery date of 11/19 came and went. The truck didn't even get released to ship until 11/17 but has had no update per Chad as of yesterday. My dealer emailed and said the truck has left and is on its way. This afternoon was the first update in a few weeks. The new delivery date is 11/30 or sooner, he said. Fingers crossed, going to be a long weekend.

It is pretty discouraging that all these trucks were held for parts and no updates. But at least you got a real update Shawn. Then when parts came in, they started using most/all of them on the new trucks coming down the line rather than complete the ones that were waiting on parts. Ridiculous. Happy for the guys on here that have your new trucks already, don't get me wrong, but disappointed for the rest of us.

Whenever I try to enter VIN on COTUS it can't find, Please help
Now the other topic I would like to talk about is the 26K plus trucks with "issues" I think the assembly line is spitting out good trucks I can't believe there are all these trucks coming off the line and going to graveyard for parts to be installed whenever, I would think the number would just get worse. So here is what I think a great resolution would be, we are only really dealing with the number of trucks that are special ordered and if Ford would do the right thing and put parts or fix those trucks first then we would stop bitchin at them. The dealers can wait for inventory, we can not. The other option is and what I'm checking on with my dealer and Rep is to just order another one, at least you should now see it built and shipped instead of put in the graveyard.

Lets just hope this gets resolved quickly.
Autonation in Marietta, GA has at least 2 '16 Lariats with 502A on their lot.
More on the way, they claim.

They keep building til they come to a resolution to the problem. Once a resolution is resolved it is applied to the assembly process to prevent a even bigger clutter to the "graveyard ". The factory don't know what vehicles are special orders, they just see it like another order from a dealer.

But again... they are starting to move.... You have movement and you're in 'the club'. Glad to see that!! Its just a matter of time. FINGERS CROSSED for you!! 11/30 will be here before you know it! AND... never know what 12/1 incentives there will be ;-)

My XLT Sport with an 11/2 build date is in the same boat. Sitting there in DB for 22 days with no update since build and no ETA.

Given that KC didn't start production until November 8th, it's very unlikely that any of the 26K come from KC. Ford obviously found the problem before the October 26th builds were shipped.

He has no ETA but they are working to get to the trucks they had to pass through the line. I asked about the trucks that are being built after and being delivered and he said that if there is a "missing" part... the truck still goes down the line and gets put on 'hold' until they go back to it with the pieces it is missing. He has no ETA BUT the dealership has on order and exact truck to mine that they are trying to push up to priority one. Apparently the Owner (who has 5 LARGE dealerships here outside of Cleveland) is involved and he sent a "not so nice" email to the rep.

Not what we wanted to hear.... but it confirms information which we all thought. That said, this is what I wanted/needed, an answer. While I am sad its not here & anxious to take delivery... I understand that **** happens and I would rather the truck be correct than have to deal with getting little things fixed by the dealership.

Sorry Guys.
I also heard from an internal source that there was a certain "part" unavailable so they put on another "different part" so as to move it down the line and put the vehicle in hold. What's sad is when this part started to become available Ford put it on the vehicles that favored them the most. The ones currently on the assembly line. So the latter builds got sent out and the earlier ones had to wait until enough of these parts came in to surpass the assembly line needs. Not too happy with Ford.
