Article in the WSJ today didn't look good for Ford and their agreement with the UAW. Looks like the contract is not going to pass the vote of the workers, which isn't good for anyone but really bad for the buyers. Nothing like knowing your $60k truck was built by disgruntled employees.
I think they are professionals just like I am and regardless of how my company treats me (and I've worked for great companies and sh*tty ones), I would never let that translate through to the products I deliver to my customers or the relationships I have with them.
I take pride in the work I do and the quality of said work is very important to me. These aren't a bunch of kids working a part time job would could care less about how well or how poorly they perform their job or how they treat their customers. These are adults just like you or I. I assume that most people feel the same way about their job as I do about mine, as such, I assume the workers in DB are no different.
I don't believe that because there's yet another union beef between management and the workers that they'd do any less of a good job in building our trucks. That kind of stuff is the run of the mill crap with the UAW and other unions.
Perhaps I'm naive in my beliefs, but that's just how I see it.

I finally got a positive update from Chad. My truck was just released for transport yesterday, so now it will go to the carrier for transport. I was always thought that it was funny that my sticker said convoy on it, and he confirmed that. Since I am way down in Texas, I always thought it would be sent rail due to the long distance but guess not. I know this method is usually quite a bit faster than rail too. Hopefully it won't be long. I was one of the 10/26 builds so hopefully we will all be getting trucks soon.

Odered 10/01
Build 11/07
Delivered 11/18
Got 500.00 cash instead of 1,000, also 500.00 for police assoc rebate and 746.48 friends and neighbor invoice match.
My order went through as a dealer order so I believe it came through faster as they want the dealers to have trucks on the lot.
