It's hard to get an exact answer. I've been told it is transit. Not sure if that means it really is on the way or if it is still the plant.

Side note. Is it possible th delays are for the ecoboost 3.5L engine or related? Many of the delayed trucks all seem to have this motor. Just a thought.

Thanks

I actually had a thought on why Cotus hasn't tracked 2016 trucks yet. Maybe it avoids the confusion as to where the trucks are delayed for so long. If there is no viable proof to provide to a news publication then it keeps Ford out of hot water. Again, just a thought.

My updated info is as follows:
Ordered: 10/19/15
Received VIN: 10/30/15
Build Date: 11/11/15
ETA/Delivery: per Chad 12/3/15...hopefully......
Factory: Dearborn
tnv...I had this same problem at one point. I'm wondering if chatter is getting back to Ford and they are chasing down any links that track the trucks progress.

Unfortunately, it still hasn't left the plant. I've been seeing a few trucks go to the upfitter and come back to the plant again before being shipped. In those cases, the updates have been a little slow to post. As always, feel free to check back; I'll take another look."

Had the same ETA. I am now guessing my dealer is right by saying end of the year. Shipping to Vegas so I day shy of CA. I feel like my dealer gives you the worse case scenario up front. For example they never said 8-10 weeks like all the other dealers they said 12-14. When I acted surprised he rolled his eyes and said ok fine 8-10 weeks and then I'll just lie to you for a few weeks until it actually comes in.

Hopefully will be sooner but I'm not counting on any Black Friday rebates that's for sure.
I'm terribly sorry for my post, vegas. I meant no ill will. I realize the doubts of the trucks progress even in talking in the forum was misguided from me. I wish that your truck gets some traction and gets to you sooner than later.

Here's the latest on mine. Which is a platinum 3.5 full load.

She's still awaiting shipment, probably because they ship them out in lots, and have to wait on the other units. I do not see an ETA because it hasn't shipped yet.
BTW, you're not bugging us, that's why we're here!

Thanks,

Mathieu

This will be the first Ford that I have ever owned and I am anxious to get it. After 6 Rams, I was ready for something new and different. But I cannot figure out why this process is so lumpy. Its great that you can get the VIN, and see the sticker with the build date. But then there is no tracking website. No explanation on why the truck is sitting at the plant for 3 weeks or when it will ship. I just don't get that. Literally everything these days are tracked with current SLA's but these trucks. Chad has been awesome with updates and I know we are all very appreciative of his help. But the lack of info that is available is frustrating.

My truck was built 10/26, supposed to be delivered 11/19, but as of today, its still at the plant and no reason why. My dealer is zero help too. I will ask for an update and he will tell me that the truck has been built (has done that at least 5 times), he will let me know when he has an update. Really? It's built? Yes I know that, I told you that first! Tell me something useful!

I have sold my current truck in a private sale but I do not know when I will be able to do that since I have no clue when the truck will get here. I just hope I don't lose my frustrated buyer.
Hope for 2017 customers this changes. Seems pretty simple to be honest with customers. In hindsight, I read last night that this same thing happened last year with custom orders. Trucks were moved to location near Dearborn waiting for parts that weren't available on the line during production. I'll see if I can grab that article , but Ford said it was common practice.

No problem. I didn't take your post that way, it's just frustrating that Ford doesn't use a better tracking system and/or be honest with people about the hold up.
