Yes "something" is halting so many trucks that is for sure. The question is what and why they just aren't up front about what it is. Here is what I got from Chad:

"Hi vegasrider,

Unfortunately, it still hasn't left the plant. I've been seeing a few trucks go to the upfitter and come back to the plant again before being shipped. In those cases, the updates have been a little slow to post. As always, feel free to check back; I'll take another look."

Had the same ETA. I am now guessing my dealer is right by saying end of the year. Shipping to Vegas so I day shy of CA. I feel like my dealer gives you the worse case scenario up front. For example they never said 8-10 weeks like all the other dealers they said 12-14. When I acted surprised he rolled his eyes and said ok fine 8-10 weeks and then I'll just lie to you for a few weeks until it actually comes in.

Hopefully will be sooner but I'm not counting on any Black Friday rebates that's for sure.

I beg to differ.... MY dealership gives the worst info. Example from today:

I had our controller check again and they're still on hold. The black Friday deals won't be any different in rebates as far as my boss knows.

Thanks,
Frank

I hear ya! I check multiple times a day for changes or any new info. Crazy...I'm so ready to get it! I've waited a long time to finally place this order and hope it gets here SOON. Can't imagine it being 11 days and counting late or worse like a bunch of others on here! I just hope the cooled seats work...but that's a whole nother conversation...hahaha.

Originally my eta was 11/15.... I've never ordered a vehicle before so I do t have anything to compare it to. Has anyone else ordered through Ford or another company before? Is this normal to have such delays and lack of knowledge/communication. It seems unbelievable to me how trucks can sit for weeks or longer after being built without getting delivered.
I ordered a new Ram last year and it was delivered 6 weeks after I ordered it which was the expectation the dealer set the day I ordered it. Their website was spot on and up to date the whole time. Even after completion, it would show a countdown until it was shipped and where it was along the way. It was a great experience. I knew the whole time when the truck would be delivered.

This will be the first Ford that I have ever owned and I am anxious to get it. After 6 Rams, I was ready for something new and different. But I cannot figure out why this process is so lumpy. Its great that you can get the VIN, and see the sticker with the build date. But then there is no tracking website. No explanation on why the truck is sitting at the plant for 3 weeks or when it will ship. I just don't get that. Literally everything these days are tracked with current SLA's but these trucks. Chad has been awesome with updates and I know we are all very appreciative of his help. But the lack of info that is available is frustrating.

My truck was built 10/26, supposed to be delivered 11/19, but as of today, its still at the plant and no reason why. My dealer is zero help too. I will ask for an update and he will tell me that the truck has been built (has done that at least 5 times), he will let me know when he has an update. Really? It's built? Yes I know that, I told you that first! Tell me something useful!

I have sold my current truck in a private sale but I do not know when I will be able to do that since I have no clue when the truck will get here. I just hope I don't lose my frustrated buyer.

Nope, still just crickets on these. I went for the Lariat Sport because I wanted the flame blue, I guess now I should just have gone for the platinum.

So yours, mine, Blackout44, Shawnpepera's all built same day and all stuck in limbo. There must have been some problem at the plant, missing part or defective part or install going on. It was a Monday!

I was thinking along those lines too. Or if it was TSB related, and Ford wanted to fix the issues first. But there have been some '16 Platinum orders that have been delivered already so that can't be it either.

Same with mine as well. Same build date, but Canadian truck.
