Jim -

That's good enough for me!

With you eyeballing #17 and 19KFX4 ready to be #20, we just need two more!

Heath I just ordered mine!

So now it looks like we may only need 1 more and that would make me # 18 or 19. (kind of got confused by the count math: "With you eyeballing #17 and 19KFX4 ready to be #20, we just need two more!")

Looking forward to the cover!

TruckGuy -

We've got your order - thank you! You're officially #17!

Sorry for the confusing math. Let me see if I can make it worse! Before your order we were at #16. djmbs posted this evening that he was planning to order in the next day or two - which would have made him #17. 19KFX4 had posted a while back that when we needed #20, he would fill that spot.

So, now with your order officially taking the #17 spot, we're counting on djmbs for #18 and 19KFX4 for #20. Do we have a taker for #19?

As we rapidly close in on 20, why stop there? For the next six days, members of this forum have access to an incredible deal on a Peragon cover. Read the recent reviews on this forum and compare Peragon to any other bed cover option. Solid aluminum, powder coated, retractable, quick release, clean look...backed by world class customer support...all at a price that's flat out amazing.

Great - glad to hear all is well! Thank you for the positive review. It sounds like you've gotten a little luckier! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Twenty is at our fingertips!

First time poster, but I've been following this post for a while. I am interested in ordering 19 or 20 whichever it is but I have some questions and concerns.

My local Line-x dealer sprayed my bed. While I was there I was looking at the covers they sell. They had the Bakflip, which is nice but I don't really like the idea of the panels folding up on top of each other especially leaning against the back window. They also had the Roll n Lock. I like the idea of the retractable, but those are too expensive for me. However the Line-x guy told me in his experience of installing retractables he had some problems with the shortbed F-150s. Particularly on the left bed rail. He said some of them have a slight hump in them that prevents the cover from traveling smoothly. Is there any concern here with the Peragon?

As far as the price I am a little confused. On the Peragon website it says $599 for all covers. I thought I read somewhere in this thread that the price was $499. I qualify for the military discount in additon to the group buy discount. Someone stated that military get the tailgate seal for free. Is that true or does the military discount equal the price of the tailgate seal.

Heath, could please straighten out my confustion on these issues.

Thanks,
Aron

I was confused about the price as well - thought I saw $499 a couple of weeks back, and last night on the website it was $599?

You are right... They just updated their website last week. Their original price was $499 plus $85 for shipping, now they are selling them for $599 shipping included. The group buy discount applies to the old price.

Glad to hear you're considering Peragon!

The other retractable bed covers that I am familiar with all clamp directly to the truck bed, which could make them more vulnerable to variations on the bed - like the hump you're referring to. Our mounting design uses four brackets - one in each corner of the bed - bolted to the inside lip of the bed. Our frame then mounts to those four brackets, but "floats" above the rest of the bed. The only contact between our rails and the top of your bed is our rubber edge seal. That seal allows for variations in the truck bed without affecting our guide rails. The important thing is to space our rails properly on our mounting brackets so the rails do "float" above the bed. It's a simple process and our support staff are happy to help if you have questions during the install.

Sorry for any confusion on the pricing. I posted an explanation here right before we made the change. Please check out that post and the few right after it. That should clear things up.

We do offer a Military / Law Enforcement / Fire discount of $25 plus a free Tailgate Seal Kit. All you need to do is mention that when you place your order and then email us a copy of your ID or other verification of status. We'll then update your order total before processing. Your military discount would be in addition to the group buy discount, so it's a great deal. We appreciate your service!

amcmac,

I installed 2 short bed Peragon covers. Both as just as Heath stated. The installation is very easy. But, like most nice new toys, I love to treat everything with extra care to make sure I do it right the first time. Even a simple mistake is easily fixed. I also decided against the Bakflip because of the way it opens. I also have issues with the "retractable. This particular Peragon cover looks remarkable on our trucks. It gave both of our trucks an awssome look and feel when driving. I found it odd that the in town drive was not mentioned. That initial drag you get at slower speeds is gone, making it feel smooth as an SUV driving about. It's looks and feels great. I hope you join us. We're almost there.
