I was thinking these were the end of the line for some reason...what do I know lol.
Dell shoulda stayed away from small form factor. They've struggled with those and AIO's. The AIO Optiplex's tear through HD's.... not sure if it's dirty power, or heat... maybe both. Got about 7 of them and I've replaced the HD in all but one at least once.

Man, I've been trying to remember who had a desk like that with a built in power strip. I always thought that was pretty cool lol.

Yea, totally thought Optiplex where a thing of the past, I mean way back. Hewlett Packard had small form factors as well, I had one of those...with a 3. something processor and Hyper-threading lol. DC5000 I think.

In my experience, HP is much better at SFF and AIO's. MUCH better.

I recall the heat sinks and squirrel cage fans being a lot better, the sinks were copper as well.

Man, I'm tellin yuh, I don't know if it's the weather or what, but I've got that arthritis crap in my ankle right now, it was hard sleeping last night. Hasn't been this bad in a very long time. The pain is the same, whether I'm walking or sitting down. Must be something in the air, wonder if that's why so many elderly folks were in the airport yesterday...Florida weather = relief lol.

It's supposed to snow pretty good here tomorrow. Hope it's wrong, lol.

Here's an Optiplex 3030 AIO that I just took out of service due to a fried MoBo.

You can see the hole in the middle of the BIOS chip....

The bag o' parts is from a previously retired Optiplex 3030 as well.... but look how tiny the PS is. I think these are the issue... not enough cooling/too much heat.

Damn, I guess so...cratered lol. Too bad you can't replace those (BIOS chips, with any success).

Optiplex AIO's, how did I miss all this Optiplex stuff....? Feel like I've been out of the loop.

Tiny PS is right lol. Low output and without adequate cooling...well, just a bad combo. Looks like they make enough room for a proper PS.

Only AIO I had for a short time was an iMac. Never liked it, sold it after a few moths. That's when I pretty much said screw it, went with a G5 and 30" apple cinema to work out the addiction phase with....refurbs tho. A little lighter on wallet lol. Both were good and solid, never a problem. What sucked was , I had a lot off apple works documentation/files after awhile, which couldn't be converted to word (.cwk to .doc if I remember right) and it wouldn't copy/paste lol.
