Damn 2100, you guys sure get things rusty where you are, lol. What are you going to use in the front? DANA 50? You couldn't find one truck for doors fenders, so you found 4, lol' NICE find.

Whitey....I'm mad at you now. Making me spend money on that Amazon oil, lol. I bought 2 tonight. I also got 4 tires for my Fusion, a set of 70 roloc's, and a pkg of screen protectors for my phone. Now check this out. Tires were normally 86 each, but today's promo was 44 each.for the 215/55r17's. I put everything in the cart, then AMEX notified me if I used some bonus points, I'd get another discount. When all was said and done,my total for everthing was $140 to me. I jumped on that.

I also had to put in my cart to order tomorrow, 285/70r17 AT's. Normally 186 each, now 112 each. This is why I blame you SD. lol

Yeah I'm scared to post pics of my 03, the last two winters have murdered my truck. The guy had like 20 trucks so I went picking and a choosing lol. He of course wouldn't sell his perfect parts because "he might need them some day" so I did the best I could. The truck came with a low pinion 44. Looking to upgrade to the later Highboy 44 (high pinion) because it will give me open knuckles and disc brakes. I'd put a 60 in the front but most people want $1000+ for that and I won't be wheeling hard enough to justify that money

Yeah, those are some behemoths. Right around 250 pounds, without brakes/knuckles, etc, IIRC.

I know the answer is probably yes but since I'm redoing the brakes on this Dana 60... I guess it's a good time to put new axle bearings in? And anything I should do with the pinion while I'm here? This is gunna hurt the pocketbook but buy once cry once I suppose. Btw the pinion doesn't leak.

Or if the bearings aren't broken don't fix them? Idk don't normally tear open axles too often

Are the bearings making noise, or don't you know? Do the axle seals leak?

They didn't make noise while I rolled the axle into my garage lol. They spin nice and easy after disassembly. Nothing was leaking on this axle. Don't know how long it's been sitting tho.

I'd start by looking inside at the fluid then.... if it's milky, gunky, signs of water intrusion, then I'd go through it all. Otherwise, I'd probably run it.
