ZOINKS!!
Car-part.com? I know they'll be 10-ish years old, but there's got to be a decent used set out there somewhere!

EDIT: Scratch that, I guess. Even fogged, scratched, and cracked ones are going for $160each!

Yeah, I'm thinking that if I was in a bind, I'd find a way to put the 01-04 headlights in there, even though they are ugly as sin.

What a price jump from 04 to 05...ridicules. Great idea if they'll work.

It looks like the lights ran 01-04, 05-07, and 08-11. I seem to recall there being no difference from '04 to '05 except the design, as people on Escape-Central forums were upgrading to the '05 lights.

EDIT: Take a look at THIS. Since you'd be going from two bulbs to one, you'd need to rewire (just like going the other way). Might be worth the hassle, though.

08-11 is the 2nd gen Escape. 01-07 are the 1st gen. They LOOK to me like they will work.

Bulbs and Sockets are most likely different, BTW. Also, I don't believe the 01-04's had DRL's, but it seems like a little wiring change would do the trick.

Huh hadn't thought about going to 04 and older. I may do that. Yeah I have no idea why the price sky rockets for 05-07 lights. 04 and older are like $120 for the set, my truck was $98 for the set and then people want $200 for the cheap 05s and 400-700 for the higher end ones! I couldn't believe the price difference. They are just headlights on a stock escape not a dang Ferrari
