I had a helluva time braking my fan clutch loose. I'm weird - and I actually have TWO fan clutch wrenches. I finally doubled them up and put my 1/2 breaker bar into both of them break it loose.

After all of that crap, I remembered a trick that I used on my Ranger. That big "fork" looking tool that holds the water pump stable kept slipping off the damn bolts.... So I took the pulley bolts out and put some fender washers on it to hold the fork thing in place. It worked pretty slick, and would have saved my knuckles on this last one I did on the Eff-One-Fiddy.
I got a weather widget warning on my phone a few minutes ago. BLIZZARD WARNING! Looked at it... 1-3 inches through tomorrow morning. Just looked again, and it's gone now. I think a noob at the NWS got ahead of himself.

I'm going to have try and remember the fender washer trick. That #$%& wrench slipped off the bolt heads more times than I can count when I did mine!

LOL - we are still under a "severe winter storm warning" until 9pm. The highlighted area is where I am.

Yeah my problem was well 1 I broke my
Strap wrench that was supposed to hold the pulley still... so I went to the store (in my truck ) picked up the fan clutch removal tool.... apparently they did not have the right one for my ford... or their wrench is FUBAR. Anyway I mainly needed the wrench to hold the pulley still. That worked no problem, also put a 1/2" breaker bar in the top for extra leverage. Then I used my adjustable wrench on the fan clutch itself and ball hitch wrench for leverage on the adjustable wrench. That fan was STUCK.

While I was in there I spun all the pulleys, my idler pulley was squeaky. So ran to the store when the wife got home and picked up a new one. Threw everything back together and so far no leaks! And my squeak I recently developed is gone so I'm hoping it was just the idler pulley. Will know tomorrow if my water pump works or not.

I think the weep hole above the freeze plug is where the coolant was coming out from?

My door handle is ready for install. Painted it yesterday. Came out really well. The pic's color is off some but it matches perfectly to the paint.

Nice....I measured 11 inches last night after it was all done. We are supposed to get hit again tomorrow night and Thursday morning. Next week is supposed to bring some through as well. Everyone is very excited because we have had drought conditions for several years now. We've had a couple avalanches..... have you had any in Colorado?

I haven't heard of any avalanches It's been dry here, too. Mucho moisture needed.
