As you can see from the pics, I got the SOB'n back seat out last night. Hoping my Buddy can make it over to help me take the shell off tonight. Can't do a damn thing with that on there. I need to stop and get some windshield primer too.... hope my auto body shop carries it?!?!?!?!?

Sorry if I contributed to your angst, White. I forgot the 99 had those bolts. Glad you got it out. And yeah, I can see how the seat lift might interfere.

I'd never heard of windshield primer before. I (obviously) didn't use any when I did my rear window and have had no problems (Quick! Where's some wood!), but it most certainly won't hurt. Be sure to wire wheel and prime/paint any little (or big) rust spots you find on the metal. Perfectly smooth isn't critical, as that urethane "rope" conforms and sticks like crazy to most anything so long as it's clean, clean, clean.

This is it here....

They only had the large bottle which is part number 08681 (125ml). There's a smaller bottle, 08682 (30ml), which is plenty to do this job.

Big Bottlle:
Amazon Amazon
Small Bottle:
Amazon Amazon

Got the shell off tonight, and put her in the garage for the night. It just barely fits.

No worries.... I was wondering why it wouldn't budge. So I located the 3 "hooks" on the top, and I pryed the metal things over the top of it (that was fairly easy). Then when I pulled it away, I noticed those two bolts and about crapped my pants. I even had the Wife trying to pull up on one side while I was on the other. Now I know why it wasn't moving, lol.

Damn it.... why did I have to see this? It's an aluminum Boss 351 block, Siamaese bore, and a 4 bolt main on all 5 caps. They were about 1500 new, as I recall. MUST REFRAIN!

Yep, mine, too. With the rear bumper an inch or so from the door, I have about a foot-and-a-half from bumper to workbench.
