LOL, Fords are fairly friendly with one another. Mixing Fords past creations with the new is often a better way to go. Their old 9" rear ends for instance.

I've been doing Ford swapping of parts forever. Fox platforms all interchange engines are simple in the pre OBDII years. After running a salvage yard for 2 years, you see what can and will fit, and a lot of things that just won't. lol

That's a nice list of parts for the GT White. I'm glad that you got the roller block and will have a nice set up when you are done. Congrats on the find.

Red is in the shop. I was going to do the timing chains, but after the hospital bout, I decided if I want to use him this winter, they had to be done. I feel that I could still do the work myself, but since I'm still weaker than I like, I'd go ahead a let a shop I know do it. They are going to do the water and oil pump while they are in there, so I'll have everything but the exhaust manifold bolts done. I found one on the left rear sheared off. I have new studs/nuts, but also a set of shorty's, so spring time is early enough to get to them. This is one time where I'm going to bite the bullet and just get it done. Damn, I hate to spend money. LOL

Modular home = A trailer without wheels and a hitch.

Got all my RA parts last night. Very impressed with everything but the dizzy. It's a Cardone Select..... might need to through it on Ebay and get an MSD instead. It's a Chinese made POS..... just feels like a POS.

The oil pan gasket is a Fel-Pro one piece Perma-Dry. Very, very nice piece! This is conjunction with the steel VC gaskets should make thing thing a clean motor, lol.

There's a guy on The Corral telling me to steer clear of this project, and stay 302 based......

Sounds like you're committed now (or should be?)!
With the number of failure stories I've heard about MSD distributors, I'd try to find a Motorcraft unit.

Yeah, why would you want more power, more torque, more fun, no hassle of forced induction....
You should build the thing as a stroker, and really flip that guy's lid!

EDIT: I just read through your corral thread. I think that guy's project and yours are juuuuust a little different.
Besides, if it was such a PITA, how did Ford do it in the '95 R?

I've tried to find a MC dizzy, but I've come up dry so far. I might just have to hit the wrecking yard.

Installed a new Cisco 250 Series 48 port POE+ switch in part of the network today.... WOW. This thing scoots!

Whitey do you or anyone know for sure where the ambient temp sensor is on an 05 escape. I'm reading its "usually" on the core support in front or behind the radiator... it's dark at the moment and we are visiting family so I can't dig around but today our rear view mirror was ready 127°! It was only 88 so I'm wondering if it has fallen down and picking up heat from the engine. That or guys heads up the apocalypse has started in Indiana

Just saw this 2100.... Mine doesn't have one, so I've never seen where the ambient sensor is located. I thought my Brother's had something on the dash though, but that may have been something else, lol.

No worries, been raining all day so I haven't ventured out there.

Parents are thinking of selling their house so I was going thru some old boxes and found a few model cars... enjoy
