Jbrew, That little JD looks pretty bad ***. Almost makes me with we had snow here... Almost. Lol
Thanks, it wasn't the greatest at first. They make these tractors cheap now and sell them at the big box stores. That one was a good year, it's an 06 model w/shi ton of power for a tractor that size. Figured I could work with that, - it's a good little workhorse now lol
Officially down to the small things for the motor swap.... need ARP bolts, and that's about it. Might do an Edelbrock water pump or electric. I'm undecided.
Can the factory alt on the older SBF power electric fans, alternators, and ac? I cant even run a stereo, AC, and the interior fan on high without dimming the headlights on my Bronco 2.
I've been riding four wheelers since I was 3... how the freakin hell did I not know about grip warmers!? Pretty cheap too! I just used thick mittens and hand warmers if it got too bad. (Handgurads helped a bit with the breeze)
I dunno, 2100. They've been around a long time. If you get some, don't cheap out, and DO NOT skip the thumb warmer! I have Heat Demons on mine, and the only complaint is the grip surface has worn a little faster than I think they should have. As far as the heat, multi-level for both thumb and grips is the way to go.

I agree, J. Brew, if we had asphalt or concrete, I could almost justify something like that, but it would throw much gravel as well.

The oil is done on the ATV, so it's ready to work. The oil had a whole 19 hours on it. If I'd seen the sticker before I started draining it, it probably would've stayed in there until spring. Eh, it'll end up costing under $10, so no big deal (no filter needed at that low hour mark).
For anybody using Rotella T6 in stuff: Shell's running a $7.00/gallon rebate (up to 4) through the end of the year. T5 gets you $5/gallon. I found the form on Amazon, and have it downloaded if anyone can't locate it.

What, no no it doesn't throw any gravel lol. Now a blade, that'll move your gravel around if it's not frozen yet. These can cross the lawn and they work really well. I use it cut dog runs in the winter. I run it on the gravel setting even on the flat stuff, -it takes all the white stuff unless it's been pack all ready. Yea, the augers will suck the white stuff from the gravel and grass without harming anything.
Yea, what you have to be careful about, and this is only on grass, is the tire chains. They can do a little damage if you not using your head. Other than that, they path looks some funky **** carpeting.
JP, you can upgrade to the 3G alternator. Mine is from a 2002 V6 Mustang. On some of the SBF's the bracket was threaded for the top alternator bolt, while some had the alternator threaded. The Fox had the alt threaded, I had to put U-spring nut on it to be able to fasten it. Here's a wiring diagram if you need it.....
I have a 95 amp in there right now but I would love to have a 130 wired in. When it wasnt running great, before I tuned it up, if I shifted to reverse with the ac on high it would die everytime. Now the rpms just drop enough to make me worry when the fan and head lights are on.
