JP.... just looks like she's got a wad of chew in, lol.

2100, my PS pump is still going strong, and it surprises the hell out of me. I've changed the fluid a couple times, and that's it. Probably just jinxed myself though. Looks like a PITA to change though.

Brew.... let's see that new siggy!!

Is the "Sky" blue?

BTW, I have always used power steering fluid in Ford pumps. I don't use ATF. Some people tell me that is wrong, but the only pump that ever died on me had ATF put in it just a few hundred miles before it took a hud on me.

The pump on the 98 use to be noisy. I flushed it out back in 07, filed with Amsoil ATF and it hasn't made a peep since, I mean nothin, not a sound. That's one component I've never had a problem with on that truck. I can't remember what's suppose to go in there lol, I think it calls for tranny fluid.

Edit* what I typed first was just over thinking. So I deleted it and here's my new info...

Topped off with Mercon V. Manual states Mercon ATF which is dead so I used V. Fluid level was a bit low. Whine seems to have gone a way. I'm posting a video to see if y'all can hear the noise. Drives me crazy and I don't know what it is.

Ok so we'll see if the whine stays gone tomorrow. For now see if anyone can pick out this "wobble" it's most prominent towards the end. No wrong guesses here lol

Does it change with RPM? Kind of sounds like either a loose starter, or something up with the flexplate.

Well I put the right side wheels and tires on Red yesterday. Rims looked good, the tires need to be a minimum of 285's. Way to small in the wells with 265 16's Looked funny as hell Like a toyota yaris rim on a 4x4.

Now to the auto start and he's good. Friday he's set to get that

JP....not bad considering how it was. Kudos

No, rpms don't change it, being in park/neutral/drive doesn't affect it. Temp (engine and ambient) doesn't affect it, fuel level doesn't affect it. Happens while driving (altho harder to hear) and happens while idling. Pretty much a constant intermittent wobble. I know that's an oxymoron but it is always intermittently "wobbling"

Edit* if it was the starter would it have any ill effect starting? Because this Thing starts like a champ first time every time. Has that "healthy" start up noise fords have.

I dunno what AK is doing.... AK, you're getting back on topic again. What gives? LMAO.... JK. Can't wait to see pics!

2100, I just put the headphones on.... and I hate to tell you this, but that sounds down low to me.... trans or main bearing maybe. Although, I can't explain why it would not change sound or rhythm with changing RPM... seems like a weird deal. No wonder you can't figure it out, lol.

Ford tuff that's for sure, I think it looks great! Should stab a fat ole stogie in the little separation gap above the chrome, think it deserves one. Looks whole again
