Hell, since crimpers are an easy target for the arsenal, not much holding yuh. I've had them for 6 years, only had a chance to use them once heavy, that was right after I found them on my door step lol. These are the cast copper terminals and lugs, one supplier anyhow, -

No problem. Yea , the shaded circle in the center is tinned oxygen free copper, rest of that is cast copper terminal. The connectors come tinned, since copper in raw form will oxidize and hinder.

For the straight copper connectors, battery posts you work in a grease that goes by "A-Special". It's a conductive that you work in with stiff brush. And it lasts, you won't see a bit of corrosion where applied. I used it on my starter teminals and it did a good job for many years. But you can see where the salt was beginning to win on the bottom half lol. Before that, the salt would trash the starter after one season. It's good stuff, it stays in the engine compartment. I also like it because it doesn't load up with dirt and look like hell after awhile lol, -

We are going to do the chains and a new pump in it before it gets put back in.
Weasel!

Good idea, you don't want to be wrenching on it again any time soon lol.

Congrats, 2100! She looks like a keeper!

Brew, those are some professional crimps there. Much better than beating them flat with a ball-peen hammer! My dad gave me some No-Ox-Ide years ago, and I use that on terminals. It stays sticky, though, so your stuff might be a bit better for under-hood, etc.

White - I've had crap like that pulled on me as well. Some people just suck.

Just about ready for the 'rents to arrive on Friday. They're driving out from Ohio, staying a bit, then headed out on a southern route to hit the last four remaining (CONUS) states they've not visited in their prior travels. It will be good to have them here.

The guy I got the engine hoist from had a bunch of people call after I talked to him, but he held to his word about keeping it until I went home and got my truck.... took me a couple hours to get there. But this dude made an agreement with me via text, then wouldn't answer the phone when I was on my way. Sat around in Salt Lake for an extra hour after work trying to get it from him. So I texted him when I got home and told him I'd like to pick it up today instead, and he replied that it was gone.

Oh well.... I'll find another one. I just know that I'd rather have this motor on a stand than a tire or a pallet when I get in there. Might just get a HF stand.

I just got home tonight from a 2 night stay, all expenses paid, vacation in my local hospital. It seems bleeding is a reason they will put your sorry butt in the bed. LOL I got prodded, poked, drained, etc, all because I had a major bleeder up my bum. Figures. I've always been a pain in the butt, but the past 9 days kicked me but good.,

Glad that crap is over, lol.
