I don't know. Those looked like new coils. A "helper" might have put the boots on and forgot the springs. It does seem like a "how could they possibly miss that" scenario, though.

Ohio... that car is damn sexy! What does it say under the GT emblem? I cant make it out. Looks different than Mustang.... might be my eyes though, lol.

Dumb question... but were they able to just tune your factory ECU, or dd you have to buy a chip? I damn near bought a Moates for 100 dollars last winter, and I'm thinking I missed the boat there. What heads are you running again? GT40?

I wonder how log they cranked on it.... the battery was pretty low. Dumping fuel down in there with no spark on a brand new motor doesn't seem like the best idea.

Yea but, after doing all that work, wouldn't you at the very least check spark before taking it in ? He did mention the owner saying something about spark, I can't recall what that was. That's what Eric did. They can take awhile to fire when the fuel lines have been separated. To purge air through the return. That can throw yuh if your not familiar. But yea, wasn't the case here lol.

Thanks, White! Here's a "topless" shot for you.

That's a factory emblem on the side. I keep going back and forth on removing them, but am concerned that doing it at this age will leave a ghost or damage the paint, so they'll probably remain.

I have an SCT chip in the car for tuning. The PO installed it since he had already done the HCI mods. Your car's A9L computer is much more forgiving than the 94/95 EECIV, but I doubt it would be able to properly manage the 351.

Heads are GT40P's. HERE is a full list of mods minus the aluminum drive shaft I added this year.

Damn.... are the P heads worked over at all (besides the obligatory valve springs)? That's impressive for P heads.... I really thought long and hard about reusing my P heads on the 351, but I don't think there is enough air for it.

DING DING.... just got 2 text messages that I have 2 friends on my front porch of the aluminum persuasion.

EDIT: Sho'nuff.... there they are

As far as I know, they're stock. It made 272/302 with the HCI combo (GT40P/Steeda #19/Trickflow Street Heat). I think the GT40P's would have limited your 351. Besides, you'll save a lot of weight with the aluminum goodies.
