My cheap dynex tv is still kicking. Had it since 09. It's not even a 32" ... technically it's 31.75" still trying to convince the wife an upgrade is a smart decision. May have to fry it during a storm or something and force her hand

We have a 5-y/o Samsung 60" here. It's the main (only) TV, but we end up watching stuff on a laptop upstairs more often than setting up in the family room. The big screen is mainly just used for movies. The Vizios get great reviews for picture and "bang-for-the-buck," but I've heard their longevity can be hit or miss.

I should find out what my BIL bought. It's on probably 10 hours a day during the week and 16 on the weekends, and is has been going strong for several years.

I'll probably open it up, check for bad caps or anything else obvious. What are my chances of it being obvious....lol. Thinking it's a board fuse, didn't go slowly. It was on working fine, then out. Wouldn't power back up, not a hint of life in it. It was a nicer one 4 years ago, pretty sure I gave 1100 for it back then. Most likley get the same for half that lol..It was smart, but not the smart cast like the newer 70. Well, it's worth takin a look inside I guess.

LOL.... time to punt, Brew.

I had a Dynex too, 2100 - 37 incher though. Bought it on KSL (Utah's Craigslist) for 150 bucks about 10 years ago. Later bought a Sylvania which is the exact same TV, but silver and had better speakers. We gave the Dynex to my SIL, and AFAIK, it's till going. The Sylvania is now our "outside TV" that we watch movies on outside. I bought a 40 inch Samsung for the master bedroom.

About an hour ago, me and my Buddy were out in my garage shooting the bull, and this dude pulls up on a bike. Seemed strung out. He asked me to pump up his tire.... went to put air in it, and it wasn't flat. Dude kept looking in my garage... I think he was casing it out. I reviewed my cameras and he kept looking back and forth at my camera, then the screen I have on my bench. SOB better steer clear of here. One damn thing gets touched and the police get to see some video, lol.

Lol, nah, not even close to a punt situation. I only shared/confessed to a few out of the ordinary's that you guys normally wouldn't.

Strung out ? Definitely not in his right mind. Not trying to alarm, but that's a little scary with family/loved ones around. Strange, -just what you need to worry about ehh.

Bicycle ? Stranger pulls up and takes inventory right in front of yuh. I would of helped him out as well, analized what happened a little closer after he left as well. Man those cameras came in handy. Iduno, is it as bad as it sounds lol. Definitely up to no good ? Tire didn't need air ?? Hell, the more I think of it since reading, the more pissed I get.
