Yes, any GT40 style will work, including the Explorer upper.

Went over to see my Buddy today, and he was building a 4R75W. No reverse, no OD, and a 1-2 flare. I took some show and tell pics.... hope you guys don't mind. Descriptions are on the pics explaining what he found.... all of this is indicative of line pressure being too high. It has a bad EPC solenoid.

Taking out the OD servo with a busted snap ring.

You can see on the right side it is broke

OD band is shot

Reverse band was broken

1-2 accumulator smacked the separator plate and cracked it.... causing the 1-2 flare

The 1/2 accumulator

Thank you very much White. I found a lightning lower and now I want to build a 96 full size bronco engine up with a 2.5 inch lift and 33s for fun. Lol

LOL, I didn't realize it's a Stage 4 cam....I think I might need to sell my 1.7 rockers and get 1.6's....

Not bad for 150 bucks though.

Not at all White. I found one for 500 on Ebay. Seems to be the only one I could find in an hour of looking.

Posted on the local Fox Body page and one of the guys wanted 600... another guy PM'd me and said "I've got one... give me 300 and it's yours".

Man if I already have a v8 platform this would absolutely be happening. People want way too much for the full size Broncos in my area. 250k miles and armrests broken and they want 10k.
The one I'm looking at is in Kentucky. I'm sure shipping would suck but the real world gains would be awesome.
