Yeah, it's been a bit since I measured. Didn't really retain the info because of the 6 lug deal. I remember thinking that I could possibly use 10th gen axle shafts in it, and that's why I measured the width.... Pretty sure the frame was also 1.5" wider, because I remember thinking the perches would need moved. I can certainly run over there tonight and measure again if you'd like. But yeah... then I looked at the wheels, and jumped ship, LOL.

It would be WAY easier to convert the rear to 6 lug. Buddy said I could have all of it if I wanted to convert, but it looked like a huge PITA on the front. I hate the 11th gen 4WD actuators.

Yes they are! LOL.... I hate those things. Unbeknownst to me, my next door neighbor had one of those HF covers on their boat last summer, and it took flight and landed on my fence. I asked him if he knew why the fence was broke, and he said "yeah, my boat cover landed on the top of it in the middle of the night". Glad my kids weren't outside.

Yea, too much of a PITA, perches aren't a big deal, I've moved a few and added more in the past. Easy stuff. I'm looking for a quick swap, don't have much time to work on the old truck unfortunately.

Does it look like the flooding might pin yuh down ?

Looks like my best bet is rear axle assembly to 03 then. Thanks!

EDIT: We've got this mess headed towards us.... Supposed to be quite the storm. Already a bunch of flash flood warnings because of all of the fires, and the bare land. Hope we come through unscathed. A lot of trampolines took flight yesterday, and the news already put out warnings to buckle everything down for the next 3 days. I hope the patch job I did on my shop roof holds up.....

Heard that on the radio y'all have a bunch of flash flood warnings (or probably potential for warnings) yeah lot of rain headed your way.

Also heard North Carolina has the largest mosquitoes on the planet... yikes!

Jbrew, the 03 would be the quickest and best option in my opinion .
White, I hope yall fair better than some of the towns around here. Drove through Conway yesterday and half of it is still under water.
2100, thankfully they started aerial spraying today. These things have to be a different species because they are the size of quarters and can bite straight through carhartts

IWE - actuators AND solenoids (water intrusion for the solenoids I believe). Same solenoids that are used on the gen 10's from what I recall. When they changed the body style, the hood seal was prone to leak right over the solenoids. Yea, that's was an 11 thing. I started to work on the gen 11's long ago, but gave them up within a couple months.

Yea, sworn off them after the 05 fuel injector recall which didn't cover ALL the vehicles subjected and fell victim to bad injectors. They used those bad injectors into 06, seen quite a few online that went through the repercussions. Then a very good friend, who actually worked at Ford Dearborn get screwed over by that deal. She had the 06 Expy, 3 or 4 years old at the time. Hydro-locked and destroyed the engine. Ford didn't help a bit, cost her 17,000 to repair once said and done. I'll never own one. Then there was the spark plus fiasco.

My take on that. - Gen 11 get back joke. There was a lot of crap happening at the time among auto makers. Out of the bunch, Ford was sitting pretty, far from bankruptcy or seeking government assistance. Ford won the class action suit pertaining to gen 10 plug blow outs. But it seemed Ford remained red faced, came up with a kamikaze 3V for 04. Designed two piece plugs to be very disagreeable to remove (in one piece anyway) and spec'ed injectors with bladder problems, let alone the phaser brain fart. Seeing the hardship this cost for a family up close, with Ford absolutely refusing to cover their mistake which meant extending the recall 6 more months, - just blew me away.
