No it is not amp'ed. I have an Alpine Kt445U that I'm throwing in behind. It fits well into upper access panel and is out of the way. That should give me plenty of pop.

It is an Android, running currently 4.4. I haven't updated the head since I originally did it in Jan 16. It's been sitting that long. It's update capable but I haven't done it yet. It reads my router wifi while sitting in the driveway, so updating is not a problem. I'll do that tomorrow when the weather gets nicer. I still have to finish my tune up also. I got the left bank done so far. It started raining, so it didn't get finished the other day.

White....Is that the new rad? Just for grins, how much is a new radiator for your truck where you are at. You have Performance Radiator in SLC right?

That is exactly what our 06 Fusion is doing. Peeing from the seams. That is one of my next projects. Yeah, right.

I put that rad in the truck back in 2014. Back then, I told my Buddy I needed to replace my radiator, and he called me the next day and told me to come down to his shop because he had a present for me..... and that was of course, the radiator. We went over to O'Reilly a couple days ago and had them transfer the warranty from his shop to me, and so I got it for free. I needed to change the anti-freeze anyway... LOL. This just added a little time to the job.

We don't have a Performance Radiator here. The only national radiator chain I'm aware of is J-Mac.

My Wife was out of town, and my truck is the only thing I had registered here at home. Sooo.... I wound up just installing my spare radiator in it that I got for 20 dollars out of the classifieds. Then I took the old radiator and exchanged it, and now that's my new spare, LOL.

Oh, and speaking of radiators.... look at this mess. This core support REALLY got worse this winter. Core support needed BADLY! Guess I'll call Sortafit tomorrow and see if they even stock it still.

I'm a postwhore.... sorry, LOL.

I was just watching this video on your Alpine power pack. Does this mean your Android HU is an Alpine, or does this thing still go inline with your HU?

I took the ends and cut them off and installed Ford plugs. I have it set up for the 07 Mustang right now, so I'll have to change the plugs to the other style. I make it so that the amp initiates with the key. It works out well that way. I've thought about using the power antenna wire to initiate the amp. That would work well also. It would only turn on when the radio is in powered use. Hmmm.

JMac is not a brand familiar with the Alaska market. We've got PR, Modine and one other brand. Other than NAPA, Carquest, OR, or AZone, what ever brands their particular warehouses are stocking this year, those are our choices.

White....you have me confused. I do a lot of line work, but AC was never a big item in Alaska until later. We always had a tech skilled in AC so I really never bothered to learn everything. Thinking about your question, does yours use a shim? There may be a thin spacer, but I don't there is a shim per se. Don't hold me to that though.

It was mid 40's yesterday when I put it in. It was in the 60's for the first time this year today. It's been to the 70s already in Fairbanks.

Today I managed to get the drivers bank tune up completed. I got 2 on the pass side and the wind came up with a vengeance. I figure I'll finish the last 2 tomorrow morning. It had Autolite Platinum plugs in it. All were burning okay, but one plug was a tad wet.

I found # 6 injector was leaking and so was the #3. Both were wet as hell, and there was not pressure at the Shrader Valve. I managed to change those out and buttoned it up for the night. I started it and it missed big time for the first 20 seconds or so, then cleaned up and ran very smoothly. No more miss at idle and I still have 2 plugs, COPs and injectors to go. I'm liking the way it's running right now, but am not going to short change the tune up and left the other two undone. lol
