Do you guys not use power conditioners?
I'm assuming PLC was a programmable logic controller and not a power line conditioner lol

Yes we do, and it still messed some of those things up. The PLC's I mentioned are standalone, and do not have conditioners.

Well dang, that's no bueno. Annoying to have redundancies in to stop that from happening and then you still end up fixing equipment.

Side note... I've been debating getting a power conditioner for home use. Just haven't decided one way or the other

Anyone have an idea why the amp in my truck randomly works and randomly doesn't work... it's been more of a not working situation as of late, but when I hit the amp physically, it starts to work?
Ground wire Is solid and on bare metal inside cab. Power wire is solid, remote wire is solid. All connections solid. Measure 13.5V across remote and ground, 14.5V across + and ground. I get those measurements during both non working and working conditions. Leads me to believe it's internal to the amp. I saw no blown caps or any solder cracks (yeah I'm aware they COULD be microscopic) ... any thoughts? I prefer to fix rather than just buy new I just can't find out what needs fixed lol

My bet is on a bad solder joint internally. You've checked the obvious power connections, etc. Time to get out the illuminated magnifier and put on your inspector's cap.

EDIT: I have a couple of these that come in handy.

I agree, bad solder joint.... OR, I have also seen the fuse holder(s) become corroded and not allow connection.

That pic is hilarious, AK! Perfect Autozone hat too, LOL.

Update on the PLC's, both of them lost their programming. They are on their way back, and hopefully I'll get them AM tomorrow.

What made LA so bad at one time was the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other trapped and held all the smog. Do these Utah cities experience something similar?

Ours is from an inversion. The cold air gets trapped under a layer of warm air, and does not allow the particulates to escape. Last winter, we had so much snow that it stayed fairly clean. The EPA was threatening a fine to Utah for not submitting plans to work on the problem..... don't know what happened with that.
