That's quite a layout!

Apparently not in a great place lol. Replaced the pcv elbow and the one small vacuum line. Didn't get to the garden hose or fuel vapor management hose. Put the original coil back in on cylinder 6 (was on 5 with misfire code for cylinder 5). Was driving ok when I left but still hesitation on acceleration. She texted me yesterday saying the CEL started flashing but has gone back off. When I get back down I'm going to read the code to see if it followed the coil. Replacing the garden hose and see where we are at.

I have way too many irons in the fire and to make it even more difficult they are scattered all over the state

I'd bet that garden hose was originally one of the hard plastic pvc lines. You could probably make something up with a piece of copper pipe with hose n the ends, LOL. I wish i had a V6 to look at for you. My Wife wants to take ours on a 1200 mile round trip vacation at the end of July. I need to get a few more things done before I can deem it worthy. It's weird, after I out the control arms on it, the thing drives straight down the road still but the steering wheel is off kilter. I also put a new alternator in it last weekend.... although the other one still worked (needs brushes though).

I hear you on irons in fires all over the state, hahaha. I just towed that 3V pig 265 miles back home. Worst problem is I caught that bug along the way.... the diesel bug, that is.

Yeah I think the garden hose should be a simple fix once I have the time to deal with it. I'm just hoping I can find the vapor line for cheap.

My wife's escape is a freaking tank. 220,000 miles and we've had it since 140,000. Took it on a 2000mile trip about a 1.5yrs ago with zero issues. I don't hesitate to drive her vehicle anywhere. (I don't hesitate with my truck either but sometimes I should LOL) with the escape we've only done routine oil changes, replaced an $8 tone ring on the driver side and just replaced the battery 2 weeks ago since hers crapped out on her after apparently lasting 7.5yrs. Oh and the heater core flush which I still think her heat output isn't great but it's "within" range so they say.

Yeah, this thing.... other than the trans, has been a really, really good vehicle. I replaced the alternator and fuel pump just because of the miles. The water pump lasted over 190K miles before it developed a small leak. However, it does eat rotors.... lol.

I'm going to change the plugs, the trans fluid, and the oil before I let it go though. Oh, and get an alignment.

Hell, with these ball joints as ripped as the boots were, I would have never known had I not looked. They still worked fine.

Hmmm I probably should do the fuel filter... a little preventive maintenance never hurt. I thought her alternator had gone out but it was just the 7yr old battery dead as a door nail. I should probably check her trans fluid... IIRC I checked it a year or two ago and it was still good, but again never hurts to double check.

I have lifetime alignments on both our vehicles, with indiana potholes it is worth it! Also I got them on sale, was $10 cheaper than two alignments and I've since gotten 3on hers and 2 on mine. We will both be getting one once they finish "patching" the holes from this spring.
