I just ordered it from rockauto the other day so I'll see if it shows up before the weekend. Hopefully it won't take longer than a Saturday morning to get it put on there.
Well, have to wait for that something that sells yuh. Hell, I've waited years for it lol.

Yea, mine came form RA as well....doesn't most everything? Well for the old truck anyway, either RA or the junk yard anymore lol.

White, the trans mount is from rockauto. You had me hopeful for a second. Lol

Brew, you couldn't be more correct. I realized yesterday that my truck is old enough to get its learners permit. 2003 doesn't seem that long ago. Lol

LOL... oops. I can't remember where I got my trans mount. Mine is made by Anchor. I was going to get it done this last week if I was towing my Buddy's F150 with mine..... but it can wait a bit more, LOL. When I changed the trans fluid, I inspected it pretty well, and it still looks pretty good. So this is a preventative measure for mine. The Expy got one with the new trans.

I used the OEM ones, re-used one clutch, and used the alternate stack method on mine. Nice and tight.

J - We had Destination AT's on my wife's Escape for about 50K, and there is now the OEM set on our Jeep Cherokee with the same miles. Believe it or not, This set is still at about 40%. They were driven on the highway in OK/AR, so the roads are better than Ohio and here. Still pretty quiet, too.

Oh, good on-road manners, and handle the snow well. No mud experience though.

White, I got under mine the other day and realized my crossmember had cracked and the shop that did the trans welded plate to it so I have to replace the cross member too if I want good alignment.

Ohio, what tools did you need to rebuild it? At 250k I'm pretty sure the "limited" part of mine is no longer with us.

Boy, J, it's been about 10 years since I did it. I should still have a great write-up from a guy on Corral. It'll be a PDF, so I might not be able to attach it but will try to post it up later when I'm on my PC. (i assume you realize this will be for the 8.8.)

Did you soak yours in Friction Modifier before install? I know you are supposed to with the Carbon Fiber's, but wasn't sure about the original stuff.

The carbon fibers are suppose to be the way to go. The material is spaced vs solid. This is suppose to be the advantage. Theory is the discs won't load up or fill will crap over time. But uknow, my discs only clogged once and slipped on right and left turns. They did this around 100,000 miles because I didn't service the rear end in the truck yet for the first time (yea, I took the lumps on that). The clutches were slipping and worse, the truck couldn't be driven over 55mph on the e-way. The rear would shake the truck off the road...it was bad. I had know idea that was the rear end at the time. The fluid had broken down. After the first service, the truck smoothed out they never noticeable slipped. But I kept up on it also after that neglect...changed it out every 60K. But Mann, I still can't believe how bad that shook the truck at 55mph...I mean it shook the truck from side to side, no vibration...it was a shake lol.

Anyway, the rear end is bad on the 98 now. I can hear the axle grinding away now. Bad bearing/race I expect, digging into the axle. So, not sure if I'll rebuild it or find a newer set up from the yard. A rebuild seems cheaper and a better way to go really. Anyway, 350,000 out of that rear end. Even after the abuse lol.

But you know, all those miles on that rear end and the posi or limited slip still works...works well. Tested that about 3 months back.
