Thinking
Talk about being envious, my buddy who is helping me with the welding on my Highboy just picked up this toy. His buddy has been wanting to sell it for a few years now. Finally the price was right.
Dang I really thought my next vehicle would be another dentside truck but the more I talk the more I want a bronco now lol. Between this one and my other buddies mild rock crawler I really want one

LOL, - that would be cool. I wondering what size tires that bronc has on there. Has to be the largest BFG's I've seen. They look like 37-40's. At one time BFG didn't have anything over 36's. Guess they could be 35.5/36's, - look larger than that.

Good morning thinkers- another sunday at the salt mine-
Just taking in the old Bronco pics- it looks fairly clean and straight- although the seats look like they came out of a 70’s discotech!- ( i wonder if they were autographed by the BeeGees?!) none the less, a very good starting point.

That'll be a great toy/project for him, 2100! I saw one locally a few weeks ago, and wish I had a picture. It had a decent lift, big meats on what looked like 15's, and was painted a gorgeous metallic red. Lots of potential in that one.
I learned something yesterday. There is no way to reset the OEM alarm in my Mustang (and probably our trucks?) without the factory key fob. (At least I was unable to find a method whilst frantically Googling every combination of applicable terms I could think of).
My wife and I stopped at a store on the way home. She waited in the car, but then came in shortly afterward, and dutifully locked the doors when she got out. I came out, hit the unlock/disarm button on my aftermarket fob, opened the door, and HONK-FLASH-HONK-FLASH-HONK!!! Tried locking/unlocking with the key after it quit, and opened the door to the same cacophony. After three rounds of this, I finally hitched a ride to our house with a mildly apprehensive stranger, grabbed TWO fobs, and returned. Unlocked the doors with one of the factory fobs, and all was right once again. There is now a fob hidden inside the car, and one will be placed in the truck if I determine it has the same vexing issue.
And yes, there's a factory alarm disarm wire on both my aftermarket alarms, but I never figured out where to send the signal to the factory module. I also never thought there'd be a time it'd be needed. I was wrong.

We had a break in the weather front going thru the area yesterday, so I managed to finally undercoat all the frame and cross members. Surface rust is no longer noticeable. I used a rust killer first to make sure that there would be no adhesion problems. Now it's a nice pretty black color. It looks so much better. I'm glad I finally was able to get that one project done. A couple more and the winter will be upon us, so I guess I have to get a bit more ambition and finish them. LOL
