Good morning Feller's. I've had a busy week... Been doing a giant backup install at work. A lot more goes into it than I had thought, but what an intuitive system it is. I feel good knowing it is there now.

Kind of jacked my back up again on Monday.... not really bad, but enough to be uncomfortable at times. Hoping that goes away soon. Might need to take my nerve blocker crap for a couple days.... but I hate Gabapentin's side effects. Feeling like I'm floating around in a bubble is not my idea of fun, hahaha.

Brew's Gotts mod version is aces. I want to find my a Volant pipe at some point... or something close. That stupid pipe Ford put in there is pretty lame-o.

 

No problem. Hell, I loose people all the time in conversation...even written lol. It's more telling face to face, their eyes gloss over. Yea, dead giveaway...I switch to humor to snap them out of it. If that fails, insult always works....it like energizes the brain cells.

Man, I use to back-up all the time, admitted about it with both Mac and PC's. Usually had at least one incremental program/application running in the background. I'm absolutely terrible about that now, slacking big-time. At one time I was scanning docs and creating file systems. Guess I eventually learned how to keep these systems running at their best, - you guys have been around them, working with them for as long as I have, maybe more and most likley have pretty solid operating systems. Not to mention, the systems today are much more reliable.

HOWEVER, - can't forget the last time and first time I've experience the Zues virus, just what , a few years back. Saved it, didn't loose anything, but it took awhile to work that one out properly. And lol, that was the last time I backed everything up lol. Yea terrible, have to get back into it again...to much research to loose.

Gotts, you know, I remember when Gotts was first writing it up. Gotts was his user name on that site, I began calling it the Gotts Mod and it stuck...didn't it lol. Had a ring to it. Haven't heard from that fella in a long time, we worked in the same industry. Good ole days for sure! That was back in 2005/2006, been over a decade!

Sorry to hear about your back Whitey. I've done as little as I could this week myself. I slept off or something on Monday. Tuesday, I freaking couldn't move. Getting Old can be very painful, lol. I really don't want to go to the valley tomorrow, but i have to. The guy pulled the column from the HD for me a bit ago and has it ready for me.

Guys, are there any other odd duck interior things the HD has that our trucks don't have right off? I'm meaning like the chrome shift selection handle and turn signal lever? I'm going to see what else is left. The seats were sold before he bought it back from the insurance company he said. The dash is busted on the right side where the truck got hit. It's pushed in about 12 inches he said. I'll see tomorrow. The engine and trans and wiring is going into his 01 Expedition. That should be a real zip along unit.

 

I know that we have extremely large mosquitos up here in Alaska, but I saw this one today, and thought you might see how big they really can be.

This is a new part of one of the kids parks here in Anchorage. I think it's kind of kewl really.

 

A monster. Yours look a little rachnidish in that part of world. Must be taking a soil sample ? Horse fly's are huge over here...sound like a B-52 when they cruise by.

 

I hate those damn things. In 2017 Salt Lake County had 226 instances of West Nile virus via mosquito bites, which is almost double the 2016 figures. I hope that's not a trend, lol.

Just went to see where the brake drums are that I ordered for the Toyota. Apparently when I shut my Chromebook after I ordered it, the transaction wasn't 100% complete. Had to order them again today.... DOH! Luckily they still had 2 Raybestos drums left.

Been building a list of maintenance crap at Amazon. Also picked up some good fire brick. Truck is going to need a new Y, -repaired it for now, going to throw a quick oven together and mandrel up a new seamless piece...better grade of stainless this time. Did it before, not that big of a deal.

 

SCORE! I just got me some Cobra R wheels for the Mustang. They have long been my favorite wheel, and they are the real 5 lug version. She's going to look sexy as hell when I am done. LOL.

EDIT: Looks like it's going to sit a little bit higher... shoot. About 15/16 taller. I might also have to roll my fender lips on the rear now, and possibly get lowering springs. Pretty common thing on a Fox Body. I've never done it though because I've never had an issue with tire rub.
