1996 wasn't a SBF it was a 4.6 modular. The last 351 was the 95 and it was called a Cobra R. If that is what it is, hell yeah, grab that roller unit. Make sure you get the distributor with it. I ran into gears shearing off when we did a 51 swap into a F100. Nice swap, but hell to get the right distributor that month. LOL

Well crap.... about everything I've got going project-wise on just got put on hold. My Wife just had her hours at work cut by 60% last night. That will hurt.

Dang sorry to hear that white. That's a big hit all of a sudden... no small cutback before a massive one? That's just rude

No, unfortunately not. It's only a 5 employee company. The thing that's interesting is how she is expected to do the same work, but less hours. I told her to work the hours she's allowed, then tell the owner "this is what is left to do, how do you want me to proceed?".

Damn dude, that hurts. I'm guessing that the 351 roller isn't going to happen for a time. What kind of work does the wife do? That really sucks White.

I'm seeing this more and more across the country since the tax cuts. I'm not saying that is your wife's company's deal, but look already who has decided to move, even with the cuts. Harley Davidson just closed a plant and 800 jobs are gone to Asia. Carrier closed the one that got all the attention, 700 more jobs there. Sam's Club closed 63 locations after it. Very weird that with a cut they close the US jobs. There are a lot more, that aren't big news, but still they are popping up all over. There must be a loop hole in the codes that give them incentive to do this. That's all I can think of.

Actually, most of their business resides in Canada. Can't blame this one on the US.

I look at it like this. If the US tourism is down, so is Canada's. It only goes with the obvious. Other than Montreal, or Maybe Vancouver BC, even Calgary Alberta, what other tourism does Canada really have? Even the US doesn't get that much on the northern borders, but the East and West Coasts, and Florida get the most with maybe Texas and Alaska and Hawaii comprising the other bigger tourist destinations. The logic says more tourists would go to LA than say Des Moines Iowa. At least the US has a number of other destinations that tourists will like, IF they are allowed to visit. That in itself is a big reason for tourism being down nationally. Also with all the foreign vacationers being killed in the past year, it doesn't bode well for the US as a tourist port. .

Good morning thinkers - yes, im surprised at the jobs that are still leaving- i dont get it.- im sorry to hear about your mrs. job, there white- before the ramp up to our annual s/d, they tried to cut off our o/t,- (we have 1/3 of the mechanics we had 15yr. ago, and inherited the woodyard shop to boot)- we cant keep up on reg. hrs., let alone less than 40-
More with less only goes so far!! Work dont get done by itself- and the job fairies wont do it!
Ok, rant over.... sorry.
Maybe... and if people dont have any extra money they cant plan/afford any big vacations,so the tourism industry suffers, and if you do have time( like getting your cut,)- you have less money to spend. Its a viscious cycle.
Ok, rant over....again...sorry
All you thinkers have a great day!-

Yeah, we'll see what happens. I hope we can find her something soon. Lots of places hiring here, but not all of them let you work from home.
