Well, I will give this one a test drive and hopefully it does a good job. I like tools too much. What used to be a food addiction has turned into a tool addiction..... oops.

Drums????? why not find an Explorer or similar and rip the Disc's off it for your Stang? The brackets are just bolt on, and can be swapped to any other 8.8 rear end. I know that would be cheap for you with the pic and pull you have. Just wondering.

Pat, a buddy, has a 65 that we took all the brakes off an 02 Exploder, and all the bracketry. We are going to put that in it this spring, after lil Red, of course. He has a newer 8.8 to go under it, and he's been adding the stuff to it this winter, so he says that it's ready to go in. I haven't seen it, but he's a good shade tree mechanic, and a Ford guy, so I fairly sure he has it right. He has a 69 with a 428CJ pushing 480cid, and it's a monster, with discs all around. Something needs to stop that beast. It's a high 11 second street car, so it's nasty when it wants to be. lol. Which is quite often with his foot.

Maybe later. The fronts are drastically going to be improved. I think if I go much further, I'll need a bigger master cylinder. Right now it's cheaper and quicker to just buy the drums....

Whitey...I totally understand. Why mess with something when you don't have anything wrong with it.

I'm not sure I'm liking this new format yet. It is a bit easier to see, but harder to navigate.

Not only that, but THIS is what should have been done instead of deleting two stickys.

That's funny.... I was just reading a conversation on a Motor Trend post about The Raptor vs Chevy and Dodge's copycat versions. Everyone was bagging on Dodge's transmissions, torque converters, and apparently their version of cam phasers (can't remember what they call it). One guy was a Dodge mechanic, and somebody was trying to get his buy off about Dodge being a good truck, and he said "I didn't say I recommend them, I said I work on them all day", LMAO.

My Buddy with the trans shop is a big Dodge fan - particularly the Cummins. He's bought 3 brand new in the past 8 years, and I swear to you those things spent more time at the dealer than his own house. He doesn't own any of them anymore, and I LOVE to point that out to him, hahahaha. Just a few things I remember are:

1) The rear window getting stuck open, then stuck shut after the dealer worked on it.
2) CEL for stuck open EGR (believe this was his 2014)
3) AT LEAST 6 times when it would send him messages about taking the truck to the dealer soon for recalls.... or as he tried to pass it off as "upgrades", lmao.
4) Power mirrors quit working (extending portion)
5) Seat upholstery coming unstitched and breaking open - visited the dealer 3 times with no resolve, and finally got replaced because they got recalled for seat airbag issues
6) Stereo quit working, and needed "upgraded", as he would call it....

I've had to log back in every damn time I come back since they changed it, unless I don't close the browser.
