Thinking

Well.... funny you ask. I just got home and showered.
He worked on it all week, and got some stuff put back in the truck. When I talked to him early today, he told me for some reason the belt didn't seem to line up. So, I got over there and started looking at the power steering pump he's working on. The pulley was on backwards. ****. Bent the ever loving hell out of the pulley trying to get it back off. Wound up just buying a new pump and pulley. So, we get the pump mounted, and I put the pulley back in line with the pulley next to it - and it didn't seem right, didn't seem like it was as far on the shaft as it shoulda been. So... I start putting the belt on, and I'm thinking "something is all shades of wonky here". Then I look at the pulley I was lining it up to, and it's not seated, AT ALL. So, I look at the other two idlers, and neither are they. Also spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how the parts all go back together, and what bolt goes where, etc. He took off way more than he should have.
Still have to pull the oil pan, do the passenger side spark plugs, and then top off the antifreeze. Ran out of steam.... and probably would have finished if I didn't have the pulley fiasco to deal with.

LOL... yeah, I like this guy a lot, so I decided to help him out. Glad I didn't take the whole job on by myself, because I have a feeling that being a 3V, something else is going to be wrong with it. They are never-ending money pits.
