Huh. Yea, I was curious if Alaska's main heat source was NG yet. Sounds like it's getting that way, slowly.

We've been gas since the late 50's, so that is common to me. When I go up to Fairbanks or North Pole, it stinks of fuel oil when you go into some buildings. To me, that doesn't make me want to eat there as much. lol. I hope they do get NG in Fairbanks and soon. It will save people a ton of money each year on heating costs.

Yeah I have a friend with a 900sq/ft loft cabin and her electric heat bill was $548 to keep it at 65! my natural gas bill for a 1600sq/ft two story house with a crazy drafty fireplace and drafty windows only cost me $128 to keep at 67-68 the month we spent most days in the negatives... felt bad for her but happy for me lol

Holy ****...

I pay 58 dollars a month at the new house. The old house was about 36 dollars a month. But, I have a thousand square feet more to heat.... and more stuff using gas (garage heater & fireplace). Dominion Energy said they are going to slash rates as well.

Sooo... the cameras at work are back up again. I wish everything would be so obvious when I work on them, LOL.

Well Obviously!

Good God, I've been paying $140 for propane..that's just the trailer heat at 55*. Man, I bet It would be half that with a Blue Flame heater. Cheapest way for propane. I had one in the garage 3 houses ago (NG tho) with two large ceiling fans (normal two car gar) and it cooked it up quick. Miss that little garage. First and last Gar I totally finished...with the knotty pine cabin look.

That's very cheap for winter here, Impossible in fact lol. well for 2500- 3500 square. But yea, a 1500 sqr home averages 100 mth to heat in the winter. Much more this season, hang on I'll see what Docs is or was last ...110 - 120's for maybe 3000 square ?. Not as bad as I thought, but this place is all brick..solid! Helps for sure.

Hi All,

Since this thread seems to cover everything, I thought I would ask this in here....

I'm looking for a set of bed bars for my 2001 Flareside

I know I could buy a set of the bars that mount in the bed but does anyone know of something like this for our trucks that mounts on the bed rails?

I know I'd still have to get them shipped to the UK but as long as I can get them to Florida then I have that covered

Adrian.....try checking for a Ranger or Sportrac for this style rack. The S/Trac uses the same width tail gate (and it can be swapped to the Screw or FS). There are many items for the Ranger that will fit our bed width.

Now the problem for what you want is the bed vs cab width's. The (I hate to say this) Chevy's seem to have more stepside/flareside things for them, and they are close in width, so you might want to check those out also. They make one for them that is narrow for the bed and wide for the cab. Just an idea for you.

Thanks AK,

To be honest, as long as it fits reasonably well and looks right then I'm not overly bothered on what it was originally made for.

I had a quick measure and if I can find something that has fixing that are approx 62.5" apart then it could be made to fit

Posted this in another thread, what do you guys think?

Shop vac, -reminds me, I use two Ridgid vacs I've had for well over 10 years. But, my smaller shop vac (Cheap Craftsman) which I've been using the shiii out of, -it's light and easy to store in the house - just fried the motor, cutting in and out. Not fixing it, never liked it much. Besides, it fits in the garbage very well.
Anyway, any recommendations on a compact shop vac ? I've been thinking one of these, -

Amazon Amazon

Amazon Amazon

One on the bottom is hard to find in stock lol.
