Well, I'll be damned, LOL. I guessed on that, and I guessed right!

My neighbor that does HVAC got home from work, so I had him come look. He said it's all correct. When he walked in the door he could hear it... LOL. He said he's ran into this a few times with universal motors. So I guess I deal with it, or order a new GE motor for it.

Well.... ****. Just hit a big snag on the 88. I bought a 93 harness to put in it so I can have a MAF instead of SD. Well.... the 93 is missing part of the harness, and I'm not going to even mess with it. I'm going to throw the 88 harness back in it and do the MAF swap in the 88 harness. It's somewhat simple to do, and in the end I will make money on the deal.

White, if you're not planning big mods (and/or will have the car tuned), you might want to try the speed density system first. Speed density cars can be just as drive-able as MAF-equipped ones, and back home, there was a guy with a speed-density '87 running in the 11's.

Ohio, I am putting an E303 cam, GT40P heads, and an Explorer intake on it. I've thought about just seeing how it runs...

Ever seen a SD car run OK with an E303?

I've not, White. Take a look at this Stangnet post: https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...7/post-6309986

That kind of seems to be the consensus... it might or might not work. Thanks for the link.

I've thought about slapping the 88 cam back in it, and adding rockers. But I already have this cam. Maybe I'll just throw the 88 harness and ECU back in it, and see how it runs. Then convert if it runs like dog ****. I got the complete 93 harness and ECU for 200 dollars.... no way will I lose money on that, LOL.

BTW, the E303 is exactly 220 @ .050 so it's on the fence.

You want to see the shiddiest, most unhelpful bunch of azzholes on the planet?

If we operated like this on here, we would be telling everyone that posted to take their truck to a mechanic.

Not too sure why the forum even exists. They closed my thread, LOL. I wanted to go back and say "guess what mother truckers, it was wired right... turns out I knew what I was doing".

Honestly, it burns me. I knew I was right, but that sound had me questioning what the hell was going on.

It won't hurt to try it, White.

If I remember correctly, that's one of those "pro-only" forums. I've come across others for tinters, auto detailers, LEO's, and others. They quickly boot anyone who isn't in their trade.

It's dumb they have a "homeowners" section. Oh well, I won't go back.
