Yes Whitey. I just need one with good fins. Most here have at least one or two broken ones. One the c/s wiring, I'd like both halfs (c/s and body side) if possible of both connectors. Thanks.

Brew, we used a similar heater with 16 pucks on it to heat out 32x40 shop, in Alaska. It kept it at 65 when it was below zero, and too damn hot when over 0. You couldn't stand in front of it. lol. We always pointed it at one metal wall (Butler Building) and it heated the wall and the shop. Like a radiant heater. It worked the first two years before we went to Gas overhead heat.

You guys didn't heed my warning that the weather was coming your way. Most of it missed us but it got caught in the stream and it came your way. We are 30 some inches under normal this year, with about 3 inches on the ground right now. Of course, we are suppose to see snow later next week it says.

We just get a splash of rain on Monday, and that's it. I really ought to be getting the Mustang out and letting her gallop. It needs fluid changes, filter changes, etc. as well. Also needs a header gasket.... tired of the "cold tick".

I had a problem finding the hold down fasteners for the cowl. The plastic square adjustable type, cab side. A few of mine were stripped out. They were hard to find, -located some eventually after giving up at least twice lol.

Haha, so the metal wall would heat up...radiant style lol. That's Heat ! I recall a buddy's pole barn having huge round tubes above (big barn, tall),spanning the length of the cieling, just two. They heated that metal barn up, no insulation that I remeber, but they kept it warm in there. I'm not even sure if they were gas lol...Probably.
Your all Natural Gas in Alaska correct ? Well, for the part right ??

Luckily most of it missed us too, we got a couple inches with about 1/4" on the ground... Sunday we are getting rain turned into snow... we'll see how that goes

I was doing some engine parts scrounging lately, and today I hit the jackpot. I bought a Cloyes updated timing kit, never opened, for $40 in an eBay auction. I also picked up a Melling pump and M/C water pump. I paid less than $100 for everything shipped. I figure that I'll take the old 5.4 and have all the goodies to go into it after lil Red get's his new heart.

I managed to get an extra set of 2L3Z (BA/DA) heads from an 05 E350 that got almost cut in half in an accident. I gave $300 for the upper end, The pan had a rod dent in the pan, so I'm sure the lower end was toast, that's why they sold me the heads. Now I have a set of PI, 8 threads for the old engine. Rings and bearings and upper gaskets are all that are left to get, but I need some specs to order them. I'm stocking up for the summer projects. LOL

They asked me to look at the camera system at work today. All of the cameras have said "video loss" for several weeks now. I looked into it and found that the power supply was toast. I pulled it apart and found 2 bad 2200uf caps in it.... so I brought it home and replaced them. 12 volts has been restored!

You can see an obvious leakage in one.... and the one just to the right of it was bulging. I replaced all 3.

I had to "modify" the top for the new caps to fit, but it goes in a box - so no big deal.

I noticed the raise in the capacitor before I read the info. Funny how you get intuned to those kind of things. Glad you got it fixed.

Yea, I've lost count of how many of those I've repaired in the past. I'll usually replace all from that manufacturer when it occurs...just in case.
Good job, I like when the problem is obvious lol.

Brew......Anchorage and South Central is natural gas. Not much oil heat here. Fairbanks and NO Pole are oil or wood. They have no natural gas, except some who have CNG delivered. Hopefully Fbks will get some off the new line that is suppose to be built (yeah right) in the near future.
