Damn, well played! Shot gun it and play director. Something like nah nah, tires are throwing the speedo off, we're only doing 45....floor it and keep it there, I'll say when.

Well, once in awhile is alright...just cleaning her out officer, shaking off the loose parts....everything's fine now.

(Ha,... its not worth it)- whatever vehicle you use be careful- there is a lot of road construction on the north side of Columbus, ( i cant tell you how far north it carries though)
Thanks Bear! Thanks for the tip as well, I haven't thought about checking the under construction map. Did you say Chillicothe ? Huh, haven't heard of that one yet.

Nah, I pulled a car hauler for years with this very same truck. I pulled with a diesel as well, same way pretty much. No OD and 65 max.

Man that's a nice little trailer you got there

Took the old girl out for a jaunt tonight.... what a fun little car she is.

Then I parked her. Gotta get it right up against the side, lol. Avoiding door dings.

We have few claims to fame- a big, smelly paper mill ( its not as bad as when i was a kid, though), the Easy Riders motorcycle Rodeo, and here of late, we had a national tv show about a suspected serial killer killing off crack ****** in the area.- but seriously, its not a bad place to live- it has its times, though.

Hahaha that would have been a good story but as it goes the guy that had the truck before me was on the interstate at night and had blown out all his dash lights with a sub par stereo install. He said he was "keeping up with traffic" LOL

3 prong plug to be removed.
4 prong setup to work with outlet.
I have a real problem guys. I have been trying to get an electrician down here to install a lock out so I could have a dedicated line for my generator inside the house to no avail. So I need to make a line to run into my house to hook into my dryers 220v outlet. Last time we had a hurricane we lost power for 3 weeks and that isn't feasible for me now.

I know it's not safe and against code but I will be taking every precaution possible.

I have a the appropriate cords but I need to remove the head from a 3 prong plug and connect it to a 4 prong setup. Is it as simple as matching the wires based on color?

I really hope y'all can help me with this. I trust y'all

I didn't quite follow all that but dryer circuits these days separate the neutral and ground. Used to be just two 120s and a ground. So they need to be bonded on a dryer for a three wire system.

As far as an interlock you don't want to bypass one in any way. It's not just code but a lineman could be working on a downed line and your generator could be feeding it. Potentially deadly.

If it was an emergency I would disconnect the power at the panel. Yes, you can yank the meter but they've been known to explode and the POCO will not be amused.

Ok my post was hard to follow. Lol
my gen has a 3 prong outlet and I need to mate it to a 4 prong cord to power the house. Ive been reading to just tape back the neutral and run with the two live wires and one ground. If you say to bond the green and red as a ground then I will.

The mains will be off as long as the generator is in use.

NOOOOOO. Green is ground, white is neutral. Red and blacks are hot. I wouldn't bond the ground and neutral, that was just for a dryer with the old hookups.

If your generator has only a three prong receptacle what are they? Hot, neural, ground? Or is it 220V?
