Temps in the 40's. Oh, whaaaaa!

At least ours has been snow. The 1-2" the other night was more like 8-10". I wonder what tonight will bring.

... And yes, I realize this is balmy compared to AK's recent stint. That there reminds me of my days in Minot. Brrrrr!

That rotor...

About that rotor. I've always put large washers and lug nuts about half way back on to keep the rotor from flying off. Seeing this guy not do that I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong doing what I've been doing?

I live in Utah... never really needed to do anything quite as deep as he did for that rotor. Worst I've had to do is knock it a few times with a big ol' hammer.

I've never experienced anything as violent as what was in the video but back in the day when the thing was to go looking for old cars that have been sitting in yards for years I've had things fly off when the corrosion seal breaks. A lot of bloody knuckles too.

I live in the rust belt and have never needed THAT much force. Its the same as you... a few good taps with a BFH and it comes off.... ok well sometimes it takes a lot of taps but it still eventually comes off lol.

I've seen him use that puller tool before, and it's always been pretty safe looking. He really gave it the beans there.
