Thanks but even I would’ve preferred the AK landscape LOL

Was cool to be 98 on the desert floor and drive up the the top of Mt Lemmon at sunset and get down to 54... with the wind blowing it was getting chilly lol

2100.....yeah probably, but I've lived here all my life and other scenery is pleasing to see. What you've grown accustomed to, is new beauty to someone like me. You know,,,the grass is always greener crap.....lol

One thing about Alaska's temperatures. They may not sound hot to you guys in the lower 48, but so many Texan's, AZ's, FL's and other hot states have come up here, and at 75 are disrobing. In Fairbanks/North Pole, the high 80's will burn your butt bigtime.

The climate is so different from what most consider hot or cold. 30 degrees on a clear sunny day is t shirt weather in the spring. I'm a dripping mess at 75-80 here, and ok at 95 in Portland OR. Go figure.

Yeah I remember my first time visiting Utah... always heard that “dry heat” crap but once I experienced it for myself I really understood the difference. Here in the Midwest we know how much water to drink based on how sweat soaked our shirts are 98 with 80% humidity is pretty brutal... way worse than 100 with 0% humidity in Utah. Just the other day our forecast had no chance of rain yet it was “raining” in actuality humidity was 98% and literally the air was just so dense with moisture it was like a foggy rain.

It’s been neat to travel for my work, I get to enjoy a lot of different sceneries but there is something comforting about driving thru corn/bean fields for as far as the eye can see. I’m sure there are some views on Indiana you’d love that I have probably taken for granted my whole life. My brother understood that when I visited him in UT and I could not stop taking pictures of the mountains in the horizon... never seen anything like it and it was just another day for him lol

Alaska is on my bucket list to visit... summer and winter! I told my wife if we were not so close with family it would be there or Tennessee... with Tennessee being the backup cause she does not love to be cold lol

IMHO, dry heat is WAAAAAY better than being in a sauna all day. I don't want to see the air, LOL.

Oh.... pictures? With mountains you say? How about with a horse?

Great Salt Lake in the distance....

Oh yes I loved being able to hike all day in 100 degree heat and NOT break a sweat! Made for a fun weekend, just had to remember to drink plenty of water.

The great salt lake is a cool place, have you floated in it? That’s an interesting time

Floated in the GSL? No. What side did you go from? If you go from the Salt Lake side, it smells awful. The dead brine shrimp really make for a retched smell. It looks beautiful.... doesn't smell beautiful though.

I decided while I had a semi decent day out today, that I would go ahead and paint up my pair of outside door handles. I got a pair of the factory chrome handles, and the drivers was the key pad. Today I painted them. Originally they were both metallic green. I think that they turned out good. For some reason I only got the left one to take. The right picture I must of deleted. lol

Brine shrimp. It's mostly turned into fish food.... in fact there is a fish food factory about 4 miles from my new house.

Soooo.... the alternator on the Yaris started making noise, as it has a dry bearing. I found that a Scion alternator will fit, with some little modifications. I made a thread on it in a Yaris forum, and let me tell you..... Toyota owners are a different breed. Listen to this guy telling me there's no need to go from an 80 amp alternator to a 100 amp alternator..... and how he tells me about it's not necessary because aftermarket batteries come with higher Cold Cranking Amps than OEM.... lmao. I don't even know how to respond...
