This is what the filters in the 12 packs show.
I wonder if the 12 packs are different or just old?
The last filters I bought at walmart were made in Brazil. They were 2062 I think. Those have to be good as they can't be hidden in a can.
Huh...that one has a sticker.. Hmmmm........it's a first!

Maybe I glanced over that, Noobs. I'll look and see. It's much easier to see USA on the FL1A.

BTW, the FL820S was over 8 dollars, and the FL1A was over 12 when I went over yesterday.

Took it all the way to checkout, still 3.97 here. Unless your referring to something else.

Good luck with all of that mess, Brew! That must've been one hell of a spike!
Mouser right ? That's a good one.

I was thinking about switching to fast blow vs slow blow fuses. Maybe it won't take the board out if it happens again...takes a second for slow blows..they have to melt first. I'm not sure that's a good idea...better not.

Took awhile to find everything that had taken a hit. Went to start the new dishwasher...no worky, the washer... nothing.. Then furnace just began acting funny before it finally went...should take a pic of the jumpers I have on that board right now...hey, it's working at least. Not going to attempt to fix the old one, to difficult to isolate the problem. Not worth the effort when it goes through the board like that..

But for the on everything else, just fuses and varisters for the most part..did their job...anybody can replace those.

As for the spike. Yep, power went off and then back on quickly, then right back off again.....no time to unplug anything. Not that I made that a practice, I haven't...suppose to do that. Computers (two) were up, plugged in and running, Two TV's were on...didn't phase them thankfully. Actually being on doesn't matter, just a connection. Power strips are surge protected though...older belkin strips, that might of made a difference there. Belkin was or use to be the good stuff. Didn't blow the gfci circuits either , or trip them. Well actually it did trip some breakers in the box...should of looked closer at those, I can't be sure of which ones unfortunately.

Yes, Mouser.... that's it. The guy (he's also my neighbor) told me it was just the relay, and the board was repairable. So I replaced all of the relays on it. Only found them on Mouser!

The FL1A was as expected. Same same.

Noobs... my 820S DOES say USA. Thank you for teaching me how to read. I was expecting it to be larger than that.

Varistors can short and seem intact. Inspect for discoloration.

Perhaps. They blow apart, the wire has to separate...explode usually.. What they're made to do, like a fuse really. Shake a non working small power supply/transformer and if you hear stuff rattling around in there, it's most likley varister pieces. They're messy when they go.
