They really did but it looks like I'll be trying to buy parts directly from Ford or my locally owned Napa from now on. A $5 radiator cap shouldn't cost $18 to ship.

Theres probably a seasonal spike in shipping costs. I priced shipping 4 car springs in 2 boxes to the east coast via FedEx, and they wanted over $400!
I really hope that's the case. Maybe it's just shipping in general lately.

I use lemon Pledge. It works very well. It also isn't way too shiny like Armor All is. Just makes it look like a new tire.

Armor All now has a matte finish for dashes...
Wife grabbed the Lemon Pledge for a nice French coffee table at her elderly mom's, and yelled for me after 30 seconds. She saw the yellow cap. It was Easy Off. I ran it outside and sprayed it down. Great for varnish or whatever, as a REMOVER. Hard on wood, however

They've had that for years now.... or maybe it went away and came back? Used to be in a gray bottle instead of black.

I'm pretty sure ArmorAll had petroleum distillates in it at one point, but their web site (now?) says no. Maybe a formulation change? Some other chemical in it that "dries out" rubber? I recall hearing that ArmorAll was fine as long as you kept using it religiously. Who knows for sure (?).

That said, there are petroleum-based "tire dressings," and those *can* eventually damage the rubber.

303 Aerospace Protectant is my go-to for important stuff. Meg's for everyday.

I'm liking the Falkens.
Very quiet for an A/T TIRE - just a "whirrrr" at highway speeds and nearly silent below 45 MPH - good in the snow, and ride is decent as inflated to 40 PSI by the shop. Based on a lot of comments and reviews, I'm planning to drop a couple to 38.

I'm shaking my head, though, as the shop "replaced" two of my chrome valve stem caps with black plastic ones and didn't reinstall the chrome sleeves at all. Only 2.99 for a new set on eBay, so I'm not even going to bother with them, but still. It's happened before, so I should've just pulled them before I went.
